Hangin with the Hags
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 3 ธ.ค. 2023
We are a couple who raised two amazing boys and have decided to live a life on the road in an RV, traveling across the country to reconnect with friends and family.
We sold our house in Olympia, WA. and bought a 2023 Alliance Paradigm 382RK fifth wheel named Ally and a 2023 Ford F450 we call Big Booty Judy.
We departed Washington State on 5 December 2023 and spent the next 6 months traveling full-time across the country. We made it all the way to Miami, before heading back to Washington for the summer.
On 10 September 2024 we depart Washington heading on a 9 month roadtrip, for our second year of full-time living. We are having a great time traveling, seeing the sights, and checking in on friends and family across the country.

NSA Hampton Road NW and Stewart campground is near Chesapeake Virginia. We are about 45 minutes south of Norfolk, Virginia and we are excited to be here for a full seven days. The campground has 14 sites nine full hook ups and five partial hook ups and we are paying $32 a night for full hook ups. this is a very small navy base, not sure what they do yet. Maybe in the next video you will know.

Heading to the Alliance Rally in Oregon!!!
Is this on base? Do you need base access?
Yes- its on base, so you do need base access, or i think if you know someone who has base access they can sponsor you on base.
That's cool 😎
Yes it was
❤❤❤wow
My old stomping ground been on her a few times, born in Portsmouth Naval Hospital and raised in Chesapeake
Very cool, it was really nice on how much was open on the ship to explore, and they had a bunch of veterans to answer questions.
It was really great that the ship was very open to explore many different areas, we had a great time. I can’t imagine living on the ship with over 2000 people though!!
That's really cool! Hope I get a chance to visit all those monuments on the east side. Sunrise is pretty great, Isle of Palms is really pretty too, though that's in SC.
It is strange being on the east coast, but looking for a place to buy where the weather is better than Washington in the winter
Wisconsin is my favorite battleship, glad you guys had fun! She is the longest battleship (by a few inches) in the world due to having a replacement bow from an unfinished battleship (Kentucky) grafted on after a collision in the 1950's. Only the New Jersey served during the Vietnam war.
For sure, very cool history surrounding this ship!!!
That’s a beautiful area you are in.
Can you unpost this, thanks.
Kinda looks like a piston engine.
Very cool!
OMG😂😂😂
They look like their tearing into her flesh! 😢😢😢
Love the new sofa color! Can’t wait to hear how it sleeps!
Be sure to give a good review on their website so that nice lady can get some Kudos!
This is awesome!!! I love it! I got dill pickle popcorn salt at the puyallup fair this year! I bet that popcorn is amazing!
It was amazing!!
That’s why the Thompsons are able to go to lake Cumberland into October!
Now known as Fort Liberty.
We used to have a beautiful lake there called lake Taal, but they drained it several years ago.
Interesting, we have never been to this area, was very pretty this time of year!!
Fort Bragg was renamed Fort Liberty. Not Fort Campbell
FYI, you can view your Open Roads transactions on the same day by looking at them in the app on your phone. I never bother looking at the email notifications anymore because they take forever to arrive.
I will have to try that, i never even thought to look at the app!!! Thanks!!! You all on the road yet?
@@HanginwiththeHags We decided to postpone our departure until the week after Christmas, so we won’t get down to Florida until late January.
Nice job!
@@TheVanhornfam thanks!!
I have the same rig with the same problem, thanks for the update!
@@GarryWooten i was trying everything, this Loctite Super Glue has been holding…
Curious…why super glue instead of silicone… Loctite makes a silicone that is waterproof, sealant, and adhesive…
I just fixed 22 of my belt line screws by filling each hole with a 3/16 inch dowel coated with Liquid Nails and letting it dry overnight. The next day I drilled pilot holes in each dowel and re-inserted the original screws with a little Lexel to help seal the screwheads. Now I have to wait a few hundred miles to see if the fix actually worked.
Your heading East little brother! Great recap and video! Enjoy
Beautiful
Good to see Vicki. Sounds like a great time in Arches. I am taking notes for when we take our 5th wheeler down there.
Sounds great! We will have to meet up on the road sometime!!
Beautiful.
Very cool video. Looks like a great day!
Thanks for watching!
Read Edward Abby 's desert solitaire. He was there years ago, maybe early 1960's. JDS in az usa
🎉
Did you check the caulk line along the top edge of the roof gutters? I just finished touching up mine. I had four places along the left rain gutter where there was about 6 inches of cracked caulking, which I peeled away and then applied new Dicor. The rest of it was still OK so I didn’t have to do much.
I have had the same problems with the screws around the beltline on our 382RK. I just checked a few days ago and found 24 of them which are stripped out and won’t tighten anymore, so I ordered a box of black #12 screws to replace them. Planning to install them next week and we’ll see how it goes.
We visited here when we picked up our new 382RK from Xtreme RV in Twin Falls. Did you also visit the Evel Knievel Snake River jumping ramp while you were there?
Saving this for future reference when traveling through the Boise area…
Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad my idea worked for you too.
Hi, wish you happy Han
Love watching your videos i feel like your gonna blow up one day
Cool
I get this same error. Any updates?
Too funny… We stayed at the same two Harvest Hosts places you mentioned on our last trip up I-5 - the golf course in Redding and the barbecue place in Salem!
Good luck with the raptor lights. F150 led fail constantly. Had to replace so many times I gave up Poor quality.
Did you ever solve this issue? We get the E3 intermittent when we use solar and when the converter kicks on and draws so much on the batteries. we have a new 23 Alliance 295mk. I didn't see the followup video to this.
Where did you get the rug?
We have almost the same set up only I have a 2024 F350 SRW 6.7 HO Platinum Tremor, towing a Brinkley Z3610 42’ long fully loaded trip ready 18K. It could be the gearing, it could be speed, but I’m getting 9.1 MPG over about 3,000 miles of towing. We are just about maxing out the GAWR, GVWR and Payload I added some airbags to the truck. I have a suggestion if you end up putting on a gooseneck and get chuck or you’re getting chuck with your kingpin. Once we added the airbags at 20 psi we saw chuck on (certain concrete) roads when I aired 50 psi that Chuck 100% went away and a mind blowing. The airbag system that I got wasn’t anything super special it’s made by Airlift called the Load Leveler 7500XL. There is a bit of a difference whenever you get the airbags and you’re driving around without a load, but it’s not terrible and only noticeable on larger whoops or sharp transitions. I moved away from the RV maps and went back to my Apple map. The reason why is it often added hours to the trip without any legitimate reason, in my opinion. If I travel through certain smaller towns or feel like there’s a need I’ll check them but rarely use them. Lastly, I added sumo Springs to the RV before this trip from Dallas to Florida. I have no idea the difference but on the GenY website, there’s a video with one of the Brinkly owners who highly recommend them. They were cheap and easy to install.
I really like all of the personalization you did
Woo Hoo! She’s alive!
