    Wow.. I wish I could also see test speed. Is this 2.5 GHz same mid band as Band 41 currently used for 4G in India by Vi & BSNL , and for 5G by T-Mobile in USA ?? What is the total bandwidth used here ?

      Warm greetings, In this instance, the 2.5 GHz intermediate frequency (IF) signal serves merely as a carrier frequency. Depending on your baseband equipment, it can be modified to a different frequency. Regarding whether the 2.5 GHz is the same mid-band frequency used by Vi and BSNL for 4G in India, and by T-Mobile for 5G in the USA, the answer is yes. The 2.5 GHz band is commonly used for these purposes in different regions. For the total bandwidth used in this context, it can vary depending on the specific baseband equipment and configuration. I don't have any research purpose or project but thanks for offering help and assist. I understand that block of MHz can be different in same n41 band. Right now I can only wonder how extra-ordinary 6G is going to be. From 2G GPRS to 3G H+ to 4G to CA LTE & now to NR. The progress I have experienced in less than 2 decade, I am so greatful for it.       Dear friend, thank you for watching this interesting video and raising your relevant question. At the 01:48 mark in the video, the speaker mentions the keyword "measure distance". This "measure distance" actually refers to the sensing part. The video demonstrates an example of a wireless communication system, and to complete wireless transmission, apart from sending and receiving communication data, a sensing step is also needed to obtain the distance information between the transmitter and receiver. Determining the distance between the transmitter and receiver is crucial for evaluating the transmission conditions of the wireless channel. The farther the distance, the more obstacles and attenuation the radio waves will encounter during propagation, resulting in a higher bit error rate (BER). Therefore, accurately measuring the distance between the transmitter and receiver is essential for analyzing and compensating for channel effects. In summary, although the focus of the video is to demonstrate data transmission and BER degradation in a wireless communication system, the "measure distance" step actually corresponds to the sensing distance function, which is an indispensable and important component of a wireless system.     Why wouldn't you just use planar arrays at the end nodes? At those frequencies you can still take advantage of the multipath through a MIMO setup. The use of the horn antennas makes these reflectors appear to have a bigger impact, but it is not a fair comparison as you filter out any alternative paths that would have been exploited by a MIMO setup.

In the actual experiment, we chose to use directional antennas due to certain constraints. Nevertheless, your suggestion for comparing the reference case and the RIS case using omnidirectional antennas at the end nodes is valid. You can refer to the video starting from 👉03:00, which showcases another field experiment using omnidirectional antennas at the ends. This approach provides a reference case that is closer to the RIS scenario, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of the performance under different setups.😃@@JamesRains-u8b

    Amazing; Please, I have an important question, if we have only two port (= 2*2 MIMO base station), and each port has array of antennas, this is feasible for beamforming?

      Hi Sir, Thanks for you interested in our product. Regarding to Beamforming, it must have multi channels which own gain controller and phase shifter independently. And, it must be calibrated for exact beam controlling.       @@TMYTEK Thank you so much. Yes, I underestand; it's very interesting. But, I ask for 2*2 MIMO base station that supports beamforming. For 2*2 MIMO antennas, there is two independent port (port1, port 2), to the best of my knowledge, each port has array of antennas! So, it's 2*2 MIMO base station based on Beamforming? It's worth to mention also, this 2*2 MIMO operates at millimeter wave such as 28 GHz for 5G NR. It's feasible that? what do you think! Do you have any idea about that?

Acroding your question, it depends on your beamforming topology, i.e., digital/analog/hybrid beamforming. BBox series only has one RF COM port to connect one data stream to each BBox; it is feasible for hybrid beamforming. As a result, you will need multiple BBoxes for 2x2 MIMO application.       Thanks for your suggestion. Actually, it's the best method for radiation pattern test by using RF absorbing material. We had do some test in CATR, the test results were slight affected with or without absorbing material. In general, the antenna type is patch antenna, so the backward radiation is very small.
