I experimented quite a bit with knockoff/3rd party batteries on my Makita 18V LXT platform. They all worked beside 1 (which was showing 0 Volt so clearly defective), but the usage time and longevity wasnt really there. I had 1 chinese battery that was quite close to the original makita one, but the rest either went flat really quickly or around 60% charge had a large Voltage dropoff and the tool wasnt functioning properly. Also after a few dozen charge cycle most of these 3rd party batteries started to loose capacity. Obviously its just my experience, there is literally hundreds of different 3rd party batteries for every major brand, there might be some genuinely good ones, but I found it cheaper to just buy the genuine ones in the long run.

What might help is if you do not lay it down And also height is gold

Im on Makita both LXT and XGT platform. Would never risk buying knockoff. Not to mention it might say its 12Ah, but in reality it will be a 5Ah, plus I like my warranty.

All fake replacements will work but the run time is not much better than half the original.

I just got one on Friday. Ran my already cooled and full 49 liter 12V car fridge/freezer for 7 hours!!!! Fridge pulls 39 watts when running which would kill the battery fairly quick but with intermittent compressor cycles on an already cooled fridge this thing is great!

I bought a new name brand belt that looks exactly like that for $10 on Amazon. The nylon is thick and has just a slight amount of stretch. Been carrying with it for over a year and it has held up wonderfully I bought another one because I liked it so much.

Bought one for my Blackstone 22" Model #2205 because of yoru review, you mention bags for these I am assuming for the table only or the table and grill in one bag or bags for each? If so what Make, Model bags do you recommend?

Ice packs would be better than water unless you want to raise the humidity in the room. We live in the midwest so humidity in the summer is too high to begin with. Ice packs would cool the air but not raise humidity. If you live in dryer climate like AZ, you may want to evaporate water into the air to raise the humidity more.

5:20. (Please respond) I put a multimeter on the clamp ends, (the clamps ends we're not attached to a battery, just a multimeter). When I plug the cable into the Gooloo, the multimeter reads 0.0 volts. if I hit the boost button on the cable plug the multimeter reads 16.4 volts. what does yours do. I spoke to the company, I sent them a video. They said they believe there is a problem with the cable/plug and sent me a new one. The new cable/plug behaves exactly the same way. Do you get a wattage reading when you plug the cables into the Gooloo when it is not attached to a battery. Or do you only get a reading when you hit the boost button. Please respond, I need information from somebody who does not work for the company.

Putting it through an already running belt is good way to get a flat heel on your blade gunny. Work sharp advises against doing that. Spyderco etc get flat spots w/ the factory grind because they run the belt THEN find their angle. Over time, even that momentary contact off angle will give you a flat spot, ruin your heat treat or totally screw the pooch.
