January Planets: Mars, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter!
Hello guys! This month, there were a lot of planets that were visible easily in the sky, so I thought I would capitalize on this opportunity and capture them with my telescope. Mars is at opposition this month, and Venus is almost at its highest point in the sky, so this is a very good time to see these planets. As usual, here is the equipment used to capture and process the planets:
Smartphone Camera (I use ProCam X Lite for my camera app)
Phone mount to keep phone steady, such as Svbony phone mount
Orion StarMax 90mm Telescope (1250mm focal length)
10mm Eyepiece (125x magnification)
PIPP (stabilize video)
AutoStakkert (stacking frames)
Registax (Wavelet processing and image sharpening)
Paint.net (adjusting contrast, saturation, etc.)

Ganymede Shadow Transit
มุมมอง 237หลายเดือนก่อน
Hi guys! On December 15th, 2024, Ganymede transited across Jupiter and cast a shadow on its surface. I recorded this transit using an Orion StarMax 90mm Telescope and a smartphone camera. I also made a small animation which shows the rotation of Jupiter and the transit of Ganymede's shadow. I processed the videos recorded using computer software to stabilize and stack the videos. Below are the ...

This footage of the waxing crescent moon was captured on February 12th, 2024, using an Orion Starmax 90mm Tabletop Dobsonian Telescope, using a 20mm eyepiece at 62.5x magnification. Some of the lunar features present here include Mare Crisium (a large circular structure with a rim), as well as Cleomedes crater (directly right to Mare Crisium) and Langrenus crater (center). I used a Samsung S20 ...

Shorter exposure would have shown more detail on the planet, but seeing details at all together with the moons is nice.

Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad that you enjoyed! I took another image of Jupiter the day after this one was taken and I lowered the exposure settings, and I think the image turned out a lot better. I might upload that one as well.
