Im going to say costia generally find the koi act like that when they have gill trouble and the eyes are milky or covered in a white glaze as well as the body with Costia they prey on the cells of the fish and it starts to breakdown its almost looks like your fish is starting to rot when this happens .. Costia is the worst and by far the number one killer of fish if un treated

Costia could decimate a pond quickly. Plenty of oxygen and keep it purple for 4 hours.....also keep an eye on fish and have hydrogen peroxide ready if fish start struggling.

Hot air gun a soften the bottom mate, I've done the same for some God only knows reason. Hot Air Gun sorted the bottom out. By the way, they are called 1.5" Koi "Dildo's", can't think why, but that is what the are listed on Google as lol !

Same hear mate the cold snap we know is coming we do are best to get ready for it but anyone is lucky to get off problem free with water outside. My pond top up is by way hose with two three stage carbon filters each end the first one is out side so i took that one off the second one is under the filter covers so i left it and its in a low point so stays full of water its blown to bits with the frost. its been fine there in past years but not this time so have to buy a new one for that end i should have just pulled it off the hose is such an easy job to do so that will cost my £40 for a new one
