Man I’ve been thinking about this. Basically just and simple on/off switch with a battery in the handle and the main wire runs up the inside of the rod with a splice to each guide that heats each one. You wouldn’t need it to get that hot. Just enough to keep Ice from forming. Let’s figure this out and market it. This is a million dollar idea. If you made it mainstream where it didn’t interfere with the rod action or weight at all. Basically where you can’t tell it’s heated.

Next time you catch a musky unhook it in the net in the water. They can’t breath out of the water as long as other fish. Only as long as you can hold your breath. Hold it still by the tail and they will eventually take off. Not a bad idea to have big pliers and hook cutters when you are fishing lakes with them in it
