Tour of the Athens Mall in Athens Ohio 1992
Original Athens Mall. 1992 Christmas Season. My friend was in an Ames shopping cart holding my camcorder while we recorded a trip through the old mall. Note the inside mall, trendy looking shoppers, Christmas music, and decorations. Stores to note: CVS, Ohio Motor Vehicle office, (unknown TV/Stereo shop), Video Scale, Book Store, B&B Family Pets, Rent to Own store, Radio Shack, Studio E Music, Santa's area, Ice Cream Churn, Ames!

Little Joey has been bad and needs to learn his lesson. Watch Little Joey take a walk around Court St and Ohio University campus. Will he learn his lesson? Originally recorded on Digital 8 and telecast in Athens Ohio on AMAC / ACAC Public Access Cable Television in the early 2000s.

Classic
O how I wish we could go back. Was a better time
I used to work at Ames and my mother worked at the lottery place.
What was name of Grocery store in the mall
Somehow the newer mall managed to look older than this one.
Is this different that University Mall?
Emily Simpson This was the Athens Mall which is now where Marshall’s, Dollar Tree and Rent to Own are located now.
RIP
probably killed about a dozen OU enrollments....
I remember always wanting to go into Ames and go straight to the toy section
Wow. This is a trip in the way back machine. I remember going to the book store and paying to play computer games in their back room while my mom shopped at Ames.
I would love to have seen the camera pan into more of those shops. I really miss this place.
Definitely remember the arcade and ice cream in that place.
