Switchblades vs Spring Assist Knives vs Gravity Knives vs Butterfly Knives
What is the style of those top bolsters called?
@@Dantheferret It’s made to look like ears. This has been called the alligator comb, but it looks more like a bull’s head at the top.
I think your handle is just a tad short 😅 Thats a sweet piece though, with a longer handle you could get a lot of reach. Kinda reminds me of some of the Russian prison switchblades
@@John-mf6ky This actually comes with a sheath which you can slip it in when it’s in the closed position. I’ve read that this type of knife has been referred to as a “pig sticker.”
Nice
I have this exact model
Yo mine is amazing but its like grinding my thumb skin off you got any ideas for like a grip? Like tape on the switch or something?
Hmmm… If it’s bothering your thumb I really don’t know what could fix that. Maybe you could get a little sandpaper and sand the ridges on the switch down a little so it’s a bit smoother? Should probably unscrew the top frame and take the switch off to do that so sanded metal particles don’t get trapped inside the mechanism making it all gritty.
What uppppp GanG!!!!! Gang gang just hanging
Camillus still makes a few made in USA knives. They are also the same basic company as Western cutlery brand knives. I’ve only seen one made in USA modern western. But there are several modern made in USA camillus.
“We kill the weak so the strong survive. You can't stop the New World. Your filthy society will never get rid of people like us. It's breeding them! WE ARE THE FUTURE!“ - Night Shlaser
Nato military knives are fun. Yard sales and flea markets are a great place to pick them up.
I almost bought one of these a while ago on aapk. Nos with the box for like $70. Didn’t pull the trigger on it since it’s not that high on the list for me. Nice one.
Очень китайский нож)
Where to buy?
I’d check Direct Knife Sales. They get a lot of budget autos like this.
Model# plz?
This particular knife doesn’t have any markings or model number. I can look up the model number of the Ganzo knife it’s copying. I’ll do that later.
I'm wondering if the stopped making the auto's? Can't seem to find and the only videos on TH-cam are from like 6/8 years ago🤷🏻
@@robprimo242I looked it up. This one is a copy of the Ganzo G719.
These suck mine broke after 2 days and all I did was fidget with it I didn’t even cut anything.. :/
Sounds like you just got a bad one. Mine is still holding up.
Should have filmed the repair. 😀 I have the 11 inch and the 9 inch. Love em both. ✌️
Still have or want to sale?
Sorry, no plans to part with this one.
Interesting video, review. Nice ones between them too!👍🏻👍🏻
I love switchblades but they are illegal if you have a blade over 1 /12 inches long and you can’t take them out in public and is a class d felony with punishments being 1-5 years in prison and a $5000 fine
Not the case everywhere. The laws vary by state and country. In my state, you can carry them regardless of blade length.
@@undergroundexplorer8378 yeah I live in CT and that is their law it is vary stupid.
Just got mine in today, it's a little smaller than I thought it was going to be in the show pullers don't actually work but it is a solid little switchblade.
Just found out about these, Got it coming in the mail.
Make a video showing us the inside of the knife and the piece that you had to create!...I have one...This is crucial information in case the warranty is overdue
Not a real AKC. AKC’s are always branded or marked
Wasn’t entirely sure if it was an actual AKC. I know they are having knives produced in China under the AKC World banner. But I knew there were still a lot of China knives that just use the AKC stamp on the packaging or blade even though AKC had nothing to do with them.
Impeccable 1950’s 👍
Uhahah gunstock war clubs are cool
Rostfrei= either it’s German made with German steel or Italian made but the steel is German.
It’s Italian made with German steel.
Horn scales?
Not quite sure on that. Might be.
Beautiful, looks like buffalo horn
I just found one like this at the Goodwill outlet. Super cool!
Wow nice switch on that a real beauty
It’s funny for the longest time I thought these and those Italian swinguards were the same thing. Turns out these were just Japanese clones of those Italian swinguards that came out it in the 60s. Hollywood loved using these too.
Yeah, I used to think the same thing too. These turned up in lots of movies and television shows back in the day. The Rizzuto was essentially the go-to prop switchblade for Hollywood.
I wish AKC still made them
I went from carrying knives like this to Spyderc, Benchmade, and even microtech.
Where can I buy this?
Check Lightning OTF Knives. They may still have one in stock.
Questo mi interessa
China on the blade and stamped guards
That was hard to watch
Would you be interested in selling it?
And if so how much?
I don’t have any plans to sell it. Thanks for asking.
This design is German or Spanish in origin. 1930’s-50’s. Possibly even pre-30’s.
One hand closing a pick lock successfully should be an olympic sport. Pain in the ass
I have the same but it only opens manually, can you solve that problem?
Maybe the spring is broken. You could send it to a professional to have it taken apart and repaired with a new spring.
What did yu pay for these?
I believe I paid $55 or $65 for each of them. Hopefully you can find them cheaper than that.
It's cool that this one doesn't have a clip! The one I got has a clip on the back... Makes me wonder if the first run didn't have the clip and then they added it later?
Shell puller crowns just look the best on any knife. Too bad the style has become kinda rare anymore.
Modern latamas are already expensive…. But vintage latamas can be serious $$$. Nice knives. Funny thing I also only have two old picklocks as well. They can be expensive.
Would you be interested in selling it?
How much?
Thanks for inquiring. I don’t plan to part with this one. You can probably find this and ones similar to it if you look online. Look for “NATO Military OTF Knife.”
Awesome thank you very much keep up the good work with your videos!
Awesome 🤩
Love the back scale! If you ever sell im interested!
Don’t plan on selling this one. But thanks for inquiring!
Makes me nervous this and the rest these clones and the original Dalton Cupid never had a safety or even the firing button isn’t recessed. I wouldn’t have this in my pocket. At all.
Nice. Just bought a 50s Italian pick lock as well. There’s something about the old low button Italian stilettos that I kinda like more than say a modern frank b.
It says China on the back... there's nothing quality about it. Its junk
Try looking down the spine of the blade does it slight warp/bend by chance?
