One of the things that drew me to Michigan and their MT program was the iconic "Senior Entrance." Every year, a new senior class organizes a half-hour of entertainment, nostalgia, school spirit, theatre kid energy, and pure bliss. Each entrance is rich in inside jokes, department lore, and gratitude for every individual within the department.
I always wanted to know what it was like to create the senior entrance. I assumed that at least someone out there wanted to know, so I always wanted to make this video.
Candidly, this might have been a bigger undertaking than I anticipated, but I'm happy with how the video turned out. It's not perfect, and that's okay! I wanted to document this moment in our memories and give people a closer glimpse into what it was like to create the entrance. This video does that.
Part of me wanted to film everything, but part of me couldn't because I was busy rehearsing, choreographing, or planning senior year. And part of me is glad that I didn't get to film "everything." This was such a special experience, especially after spending so much time adoring the "Senior Entrances." The best way to enjoy my own was to be as present as possible.
