SUCKS!! Your face shouldn't be on the screen as you are trying to teach math, not hey look at me! The volume sucks even worse than that! Are you whispering?!? And why would anyone teaching something online for the subject of MATH use cursive hand writing. It's horrible and to be completely honest YOUR HAND WRITING SUCKS THE BIG ONE! Are you writing with your feet!?! This was just all around horrible! Maybe instead of making facial expressions while writing with your feet, you should watch other math videos! THEY DON'T WRITE IN CHICKEN SCRATCH!!

At 29:40, when I did this problem, I got both 5 and 8 as the answer. What did I do wrong? I see how you got 5, however, I also entered -8 into the square root and got: *Root* 40-3(-8) which equals *Root* 40+24, which equals *root*64, which equals 8? Why did you cross out the negatives? Are we supposed to that?
Hey there! If you are ever not sure if a solution works, you can always plug it in to check. Even if you got positive 8 somehow, when you plug it back in it wouldn't work, so it's good to check the answers by plugging them in (not just for extraneous!). When I tried plugging in -8, I got -8=8, which is not true (signs are tricky!). Hope that helps! Have a blessed day!

Zero is an extraneous solution for number 15. Extraneous solutions occur when solving rational equations because important information gets lost when solving rational equations.

Hey there! Since a negative square root is not a real number, you would not need to solve it- you would just say that there is no real solution.
