Our first video of 2025! This is part 1 of 2 and encompasses our week on land. Starting in Split, we travel from the Diocletian's Palace to the Klis Fortress on a winding tour through the countryside while driving a Zastava 750, colloquially called the Fićo. From there we travel inland to Plitvice Lakes National Park to witness the stunning beauty of the slaps.
Fićo Croatia tour, It’s a guided tour and you can book to either be driven, or get to drive the vehicle yourself. Of course, I was excited to drive the Fićo and obtained my first foreign drivers license just for this portion of the trip!
o The cars nickname is “Fićo”, and it is known by this name in the whole ex Yugoslavia region. This was the car that mobilized ex Yugoslavia. “Fićo“ was a symbol of the modernization and success in the new socialist society, which was not only a family car, but police and ambulance car, also suitable even for long-distance journeys like shopping in Italy.

o Ivan is the business owner and was our tour guide, He has quite a few cars and tour guides. Having dinner with him and Beki was wonderful and we feel like we have a friend in Croatia! (they picked the spot, we paid the bill)
