Many people believe Nature Beings/Fae Beings won't offer help without a "contract" that is deceptive and terrifying. Most of this I'm sure comes from (fictional) folklore, religious bias and blame for the Missing 411 phenomenon. How do we get past this? I have known only kindness from any beings of Nature without being asked anything in return (though I often give gifts in friendship).

wow. the points about inductive and deductive reasoning were so powerful. so many of occult paradigms derive from the Aristotelian view of life, which is largely deductive and this is so important to understand. this is why we have the scientific method. people can say they believe in science and the scientific method, but will use deductive reasoning to describe why traditions aren't malleable. that is not to say that religion should rely upon the language of science to prove itself, surely religion goes beyond science, but one thing we must understand is most of the western mystery traditions rely upon deductive reasoning, so choosing to be scientific when it comes to issues like transgenderism vs biology in occult liturgy becomes akin to biblical cherry picking.
