Sepsis Awareness Month - Sepsis Chatter (Fall 2024)
Welcome to the September 2024 Edition of Sepsis Chatter!
Our newest video presentation is titled: “Sepsis Chatter-Sepsis Awareness Month September 2024”
This presentation begins with a brief history of the Sepsis Alliance Organization and how the month of September became known as “Sepsis Awareness Month”. It also discusses the rationale for designating an entire month to sepsis awareness which includes:
• Annual human and financial cost of sepsis in the United States
• Populations who are susceptible to developing sepsis
• Post Sepsis Syndrome
• Outcomes related to treatment
This presentation will explore ways to help to spread the word about Sepsis Awareness Month to get the conversation started. Finally, this will provide multiple resources to assist in getting the word out this September.
