ALOHA! My name is Eric Keawekane and I have been creating art for over fifty years. I love it - drawing and painting, ceramics and sculpture, graphic design, drumming, photography and... FILM. Of all the artistic mediums, only film has the ability to capture and communicate by combining any or all of the other mediums. I especially enjoy capturing what is good in the world - Especially surfing. My son has also discovered his own love of surfing, photography, and film and so we've joined forces share what we capture.
WHY KEWE? Growing up friends had trouble pronouncing my long Hawaiian last name so I got the nickname "KEWE" - Pronounced like the fruit and all things New Zealand. KEWE has stuck. And so, I sign all my fine art with "KEWE" and conclude videos with "KEWE FILMS".

MICRO BARBS 2 - Super Small Surf!
Another week of super small surf for So Cal... But the clean conditions kept things fun. Film and Barbwires, Trestles, San Clemente, CA on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM... After that the surf picked up a bit and I paddled out... I mean... I gotta surf too...

September Surf Session at Barbwires from 8 AM to 9 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2024. Friday was the WSL Finals at Lowers and everyone was VERY grateful for some decent surf after weeks of small stuff. Was fun!
