What is this first thing called?
Hey Adam.. that's just a piece of metal glue...same one used for bonding.. Thanks for watching!
@@FlytyingFinesse thx
Запах краски и клея не отпугнёт рыбу?
No it won't...they both have little to no smell once dried up...
Did you tie off the hackle at the hook eye or on the post? It looked like the hook eye in this sped up video.
@@wish4fishmend295 Right before the hook eye....
@ i’ve always tied off on the post. I’ll have to try this. Would you not get some hackle fibres oddly placed on the side?
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice😮
Thanks 😅
Is it hot glue?
Yes it is...
@FlytyingFinesse that gives me a lot of ideas....does it float? If someone, we could use it to hold down hackle for small dry flies :)
Yes you can ...you can also add some lead free wire for some weight.. Remember to wet your fingers before touching the hot glue..it can get really messy...
Size 8? That's massive.
This is a great way to tie this!!
Glad you like it. Thank you!
Beautiful fly good job 👏
@@wayway872 Thank you 🙂
I immediately subscribed. I will be keeping an eye out for future uploads. Your channel is going to grow. I’m rooting for you!
Thank you Greg .. you're too kind... Thanks for the sub🙂...
Do you tie in the butt's of the peacock herl instead of the tips?
An awesome fly!
Thank you!

Cover the shank in thread, and then glue. The body will never slide after a few fish. Awesome video
Thanks for the tip🙂
Nice!! 🔥🤙
Glad you like it!
Well tied , I’ll be adding some to my fly box , keep the videos coming ❤
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed....🙂🙂
What was applied on the legs themselves near the end of the tutorial? Looked like a glue brush
@@suprememarve1626 That was a permanent black marker pen just to bar the legs... You can use black and white silicone legs as an alternative.. Thanks for watching!.
Must be blind, didn't notice the black lines appearing at the end haha. Thank you for a great video, I tied 2 of these and they're the best hippie pattern I've utilized! The flash and color of the body has been the most noticeable on this one
You did a wonderful job. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Hello! You do a great job with your flies. What hook size you use for your mosquitos? TY!
Thanks Theo.. For the mosquito i mostly use size 12 & 14 But mosquitoes can be tied up to size 20.
@@FlytyingFinesse awesome thanks!
Song?
All i want by Lorenn art
Which company makes that squirmy material?
The Squirmy material in this video is from Spirit River.. Thanks for watching.🙂
@@FlytyingFinesse thank you!
I need to make this
You should.. it's a simple to tie pattern..
nice sharing
Thank you! Cheers!
What bobbin?
Got this online from a Chinese store and made some modifications to it..
question. after u cut the excess elkhair. is thier an any use for the left overs?
No rest can't be used.. it's waste..
Nicely done. I like the pattern...and a new technique to me on making the head. It did look like that bottom piece of the foam on the finished fly had not totally adhered to the the other piece (kept separating). I've been using some 3M spray adhesive on approx. 6"x6 " pieces of foam to join them. I have found that I have to pay close attention to getting thorough coverage with the spray...or get the same issue. It's good stuff if you're thorough.
Thanks for the tip Chris... and thanks for watching 🙂
Sweet tie
Nice
Thanks Rose..
Great job! That was an excellent tie.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great looking fly tie and commentary. Thanks
