Termite and wind damaged shop rebuilt
An old man rebuilds his shop with used lumber. The shop was build 50 years ago and termites plus the weather damaged the west side. Nobody could be found to repair it so the 74 year old man took it upon himself to repair it with used wood from another old building.

Somebody dumped "Henry" and we've been feeding him for over 6 months. He usually comes each morning and each evening, sometimes in the middle of the day. We get within inches of him but you can't touch him. He meows and acts very friendly but no touching. We hope he's getting enough to eat now. Sometimes we don't see him for a couple of days, but it's hard to imagine him walking (waddling) very...

just a couple of notes to add. take his advice and remove the pulley before unbolting the bearing mounts. I've been beating on mine with a 2-pound sledge for about 20 minutes now to no avail. Also note that if you go to remove the output chute that the chute is also the motor mount.
After failing to be able to replace the jointer knives, I decided to just buy a spiral cutter head from WGM Toolworks. I have so far disassembled everything with the exception of lifting one side of the machine. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I still need to remove the cutter head, pull the bearings off, etc, so that might still be a bit of a challenge, but at least I know I can get the damn thing out. Thanks for this helpful video.

I just bought one of these used. I thought it would be a simple job to replace the knives in the cutter head. Nope, it's an absolute bastard. I did manage to get one blade one won't budge, and I basically rounded a bolt head on the other one. I guess I will have to completely remove it and cut the bolts off, or just replace it.
I can only suggest you buy an Drive Impact Screwdriver. You can find them at Home Depot among other places. www.homedepot.com/p/TEKTON-1-2-in-Drive-Impact-Screwdriver-Set-7-Piece-2910/205674680

Hi, I own the same Jointer. I accidentally removed the adjustable handle for tightening the fence angle, and I'm not sure how to reassemble. Can you explain how to put that subassembly baack together? There are a few wedged nuts that fell out.
I own the same Delta 37-190 jointer. Mine does not have a hex head screw to retain the bearning blocks it has studs screwed into the bearing blocks and a nut and washer on the other end to hold the block in the machine. Used your procedure to gain access to remove the nuts and unscrew the studs. Thanks for you help!

@UC-CBhn35IDCEbRA3c5ouGgA My apologies, I don't understand the question. Are you inquiring how to joint boards using this jointer? I am extremely happy with the cutter that I installed. The finish it leaves is better than what my new Dewalt 735 leaves. I was never happy with the original blades, especially in hard woods.

After almost a year of being up on TH-cam I thought you deserved at least a comment........Well Done video...Clear, concise and to the point. After using it for a year, what are your thoughts so far??
Thank you . I've had no problems with the plastic charging handle. I believe that with normal use it's a good alternative to the much more expensive aluminum ones. That said, I also believe that if you were in competition where the gun was dropped and generally treated roughly an aluminum charging handle would be advisable. For target shooters and hunters it's great.
