Impresionante! Enhorabuena Pedro. Estoy buscando un torno Schaublin para mi taller, si encuentro uno, lo primero que haré será pedirte la información :)
Where did you buy that felt pad?

Hi, Pedro! Not sure if you remember me. I was the strange blind lady who asked you to repair the phonograph in my walking and talking doll. This was a very interesting unboxing. I am curious about phonographs and gramophones as well although I don’t own any. I just like to learn about them and the mechanics behind them. Anyways, I hope your friend has a speedy recovery and that he enjoys this machine after all of the work that you put into it.
Hollo! Of course I remember you and your amazing walking doll. Glad to see you around here.
Very interesting! I saw an advertisement of a similar machine, cannot tell if it is the same. It will be a challenge to manufacture the missing parts, though.
@@Luxgramophone I have that advertisement and plenty of pictures of another machine. At PedroFono, we can make all the missing parts
Awesome Video and well designed!! Thanks for sharing...

Very beautiful player

Hello! Thank you for the video! Very helpful. Could you please tell me about the oil spray that you used as a release agent in the video?
WD-40 or alike
Again, i'm just wondering how the project is going?
It works wonderfully! I have already made several replicas of non standard screws and it is just what I was looking for.
Ah-ha ... Bueno! I've been off line a while, was wondering how it is working... Nice to be able to make whatever you need!
I'm still having some "issues" that make it difficult to get work done, but I have started getting my Lorch LLPV back together... I took it apart to repaint it in the original green, then had this problem start, so it's been sitting on the bench for 3 years. I have part of the electronic bits together to do a stepper motor drive to the compound slide, since there is, of course, no mechanism to drive the cross slide. I also had an idea to use bicycle sprockets to do the drive ratio from the spindle to the compound... It turns out that a ratio of 13:33 gives a metric to inch conversion, within 0.04%, I think it would be 0.06" or 1/16" "short" in a 100" travel. But, I have an encoder with 600 pulses per revolution of the spindle, so I can make a rather fine pitch adjustment... Many, many years ago, I designed a digital counter that could add/ subtract pulses over a large number of turns, so that we could do a counter for a rally car that was accurate to 1 revolution per km... Of course, in a rally car, wheel spin, or brake skidding, can do worse! Sorry, lying in bed, mind wandering. Could you do a "short" perhaps, showing the operation?? Meantime, bonne Anée/Gutes neues Jahr/ healthy and enjoyable 2025!
Anyway, today, just wondering how the project is going?
Un video francamente bello. Didáctico y sintético. Mis respetos. Saludos cordiales desde Chile

Amazing update to the lathe for thread cutting. It's lovely and simple but very effective that allows so many thread types to be cut. A great job.
Beautiful record players😅
The square shoulder 'fence bolts' are also known as carriage bolts and coach bolts
13:20 Pedro, notches = keyway, the groove for a square key to drive the rotation of the gear. Very nice work, by the way.
What a beautiful machine
Very nicely made, thank you for sharing.
Just found your channel and Subscribed. Very nice work
Hi Pedro! Landed here after reading of your thread cutting attachment on the Model Engineering list. I'm retired now, but did clock and watch restoration for around 12 years. It was always such a problem to deal with a badly done repair, you just wish that folks who don't know what to do would just leave the poor thing alone. Looks like you're well into a challenging project here, off to see part three as soon as I hit comment. Thanks for the videos on this, I'll have to sit down and watch all your other posts over the next month or so! Cheers, Stan from the ME List.
Pedro; I've been thinking about doing this for my larger Lorch lathe, and I came up with an idea about gearing... I think that you can use bicycle gearing, as the chain rings and rear sprockets are available in almost any tooth count, more easily than gears, and, with three sprockets and two chains, a huge selection of ratios available, and really easy to change, especially if you have the sprockets set up in "common" ratios... I figured an inch to metric conversion ratio, for one range, and then you only need a few for the common thread pitches, especially metric... And, also, easy to set up for threading away from the headstock! It's just a thought...
Hi Lohi Your idea could work. The only challenge using bicycle sprockets and chains is how to reverse the direction of the feedscrew. The idler gear on mine is for doing that.
If you have a large idler sprocket, and "wrap" the chain over the driven sprocket(s), you can just have the driven sprocket be on the "top" or "bottom" run of the chain, kind of flipping the idle above or below the driven sprocket...
That's a very well executed tool, well done. Did you make the transmission shaft and its universal joints yourself, or buy it, and if so, where from?
I bought it. Drop me a line to pedrofono@pedrofono.es and I will send you the link
Very impressive. Actually considerably better than the original equipment - no ball races on the original Schaublin device. Well done.
Nicely done, thanks for sharing!
