Marilyn McCoo is beautiful as a person and songstress. Her voice is just as smooth as silk.

My favorite Rascals song. Felix Cavaliere later did a solo version (1980). Covered by other fine soul singers: Marion Williams, Dionne Warwick and Martha & the Vandellas. I put all of these in my Rascals playlist with the original. Thanks for the upload!

I got to see them perform this live back in the day. The handwritten Declaration projected as a backdrop. What a stirring moment for my young self.

Have always been a huge fan of the group and love this song . Wish Lamont had done more solo singing within the band . Always came over as sassy with great humour and style too . Really like him singing the Preacher's lines on the 5th's live recording of Bobbie Gentry's Ode to Billy Joe .

Thank you! I don't think I've heard that one. It doesn't ring a bell from the 60s. But it reminded me of when I saw the 5th Dimension (my favourite group then, and now) at Toronto's CNE (fair) in 1970.
