Every argument calling HCs underpowered falls apart the second you go from using them how you want to (open air dueling) to how they're most potently used (peekshotting). And not to sound like a nerd but the skillshot weapon having an accuracy cone the size of a coconut is never not going to be funny

Unless 140 and 120 hand cannons get nerfed to hell and back they will always be the best weapon type in crucible just based on how the gun works, it has: 1. The most versatile dueling range/zoom of all primaries, you can challenge a rifle user from relatively far away while still being able to aim at someone running towards you with an smg or sidearm. 2. Ability to peekshot from behind cover, something which any auto weapon isn't able to do 3. TTK doesn't change even if you are of a slightly lower power than the opponent in gamemodes like Trials 4. A decent amount of peripheral vision even when ADS Literally every other primary weapon archetype suffers from some issue that makes it worse than a hand cannon in pvp. Even if a hand cannon was given the worst perks possible to mankind as long as it's scope and feel is alright it will be incredibly easy to pop off with it.

We've been in a handcannon shotgun meta since the ice age at this point, glad I am not insane when I hear people like "oh handcannons aren't that good, they are like a really high skill weapon" and I just think they are just dogshit at the game.

Kept Confidence is a better PvP hand cannon than any you can find, and it's a 140.

Me when my favourite hand cannon is bad (it’s exalted truth and I like it because it feels good and performs well). Honestly I don’t understand when people say that hcs are bad, bc they aren’t. Imo 140s feel like one of the most balanced weapon archetypes in the game. Good review, here’s a sub and a like.

handcannon users expect to be able to slide out and gun anyone at any range. Like any other weapon, you have to play its strength and weaknesses.(peekshot) But i still think pulses are too strong rn
