I’ve been looking to try. a Hirsch Double oak. I have heard good things about it. Yeah amazing stuff but expensive no matter how you cut it. It is cool that they give the extra to charity though.

Correct. I believe that’s floor 1 Rickhouse 13. Rickhouse #8 and #13 are on Coy hill. Is your Rye a hero’s edition? My Hero’s edition rye is from 1-13. Regardless what a great score! That’s probably as close to a hazmat Coy Hill Rye as we will get till JD blesses us with a new Special Release.

I paid $550 for my first Coy Hill off secondary. That’s probably the most I’ve spend Personally. And retail was the Wild Turkey Generations at my first bottle store camp out where I meet Homer. I hope to get that signed by Jimmy and probably won’t open. I’ve tried it. It’s amazing. But not that amazing. Makes a better story. Then a lot of bottles in the 250-400 range.

It is good. But it doesn’t say any of that on this label. It’s only says Produced and Bottled in Americus Georgia. Because this is there old 2023 label. On their new standard bourbon label it mentions Distilled in IN.

@@rayfisher5407 yeah that’s why I was a bit disappointed. They fixed in in there new regular stuff and not in the Double oak. I was also a bit hungover and a bit bitchy that day 😃. The main thing is it’s great stuff

@HOUSEBOURBON I do agree it is disappointing that they cannot make their own hooch, that's how it started out to begin with.Now pay a company to do all the work for ya while you sit and wait on maturity date.So to all that frown on MGP they must make really good hooch at affordable prices and allow the so called distiller take credit for their work.something just ain't right about it...
