i'm surprised this is considered beginner, it's quite complex for that level

this is much harder than our version, interesting

it's interesting how terminology differs. ours is very similar but we say 'knee, side, hop-skip-2-3 or knee, side, and gallop then hop, hop back, hop back two three four or rise and grind and 'hop forward, hop back, hop back 2-3-4'. and our third step is a heel, toe, hop back-2-3-4 with a rise and grind on the end.

ours is very very similar but maybe a little bit easier since it is choreographed as the first real grade dance the little ones learn. i started this year and it's one of 6 dances I need for my grade 1, 2 and 3 exams in a few weeks.

I watched your Three Sea Captains video, since that's what my 12yo daughter is learning this time around and I wanted to see how it'll look when it's polished. After that, I ended up watching all of your trad sets - you make them look so easy! My daughter heard you saying "kick your butt, kick your butt" and it cracked her up - she now wants to do St. Patrick's Day at her next feis (instead of Blackbird) so she can sing "kick your butt, kick your butt" to herself while she's dancing. It's the little things in life, ya know? ❤
