There are also pure IT resources. I discovered them one year ago; before, I used paper books and asked Kalderash friends how to pronounce.I used songs on youtube, too (kalyi yag, ternipe...= I found th-cam.com/video/lIhzr1yxheU/w-d-xo.html "ghid "JEanes Romanes" it is in Common Gypsy, too is excellent for pronunciation: a friend of mine which is Ursari congraculated one of their lessons; a man coming from a state of Yogoslavia -arrived in France 35 years ago- found another lesson good... One needs a 'smart' 'phone' or a PC. There is litte grammary and subtitles are in limba romana: this is npt that annoying because I could guess the subtitles 70% with rromani shib , for the remaining I used Google Translation (is much better with limba romana than with romanishib) before I discovered duolingo (only for limba romana) Last but not least, I discovered, thanks to remark of Pr Mattras,n this very yotube channel romani.dch.phil-fak.uni-koeln.de/?s=RO-008&t=632131 (leads to Kalderah words and sentences with pronuntiations; verbs are conjugated) or romani.dch.phil-fak.uni-koeln.de/ (you can select a lot of dialects) Whith the pronuncaition and sample phrases, this is very good . I noticed some features: v is very weird; sometimes it is pronunced as in lo.v.e; other times as in ho.w. ex item 92 'snow' is pronuced iv . I pronunce iw or io (Kalderah and Ursari -written and pronunced 'viv' in Urasri in thios database: told me. This can be annoying when transmitting numbers on phone( 6 is written shov, and one should pronounice it 'show' -at least with a friend of mine wife: she asked for money, and Western Union had numeral codes. I sent numbers in Kalderash, she was not french speaking... it took a week to fix it) I am almost sure Chilean gipsyes speak spanish and you can cope such details of pronunciation just asking them...

Well, I see 2,issues: One is in topic and has been aleady talked about in another conversation. I was amazed to learn that romani shib is taught in Srbia, Bulgary. I already knew iy is taught in Romania (at least if there are teachers -means they are payed enough not to hope they can find higher wages- *and* pupils -means they /their parents think it is a more interesting language than French Spanish or German). I hope/bet it is taught in Macedonia, too -as an official language, it should anyway- But does someone know in which condition it is taught in different countries. One is out of topic How can a curious man learn gipsy? I found three suboptimal ways * having friends. But what happens if they go elsewheer? * using google translate. but when I asked the translation of such a simple thing as "le cheval mange de l'herbe', I came up with "Murro grast xalas grast" which is ...terrible. * using th-cam.com/video/rbrdEl4tb88/w-d-xo.html -subtitles are i limba romana; without dictionary, I had to learn limba romana with duolingo -from friens, 10 yrears ago, I wa less bad in Romani shib/ Kalderash * and perhaps romani.dch.phil-fak.uni-koeln.de/?s=RO-004&t=632131 which is great (one changes the number and one gets another dialect... translations are in English I discovered this database thanks to a wonderful chain, pro.romani....
