This Common Belief is Holding You Back
Universities teach it. High school shouts it. Even elementary education tells us it. But it's holding you back. What is it? The belief that truth is relative. Go to any modern college campus and you'll eventually meet "relativists." But they are only relativists in the classroom; in real life, nobody lives this way. My friend Matt and I talk about the nature of truth, the implications of modern relativism, and how we can change people's minds.

It's a Christian's duty in America to steer the country in the correct direction in any way they can. Most of that is through cultural change, but every four years we get to make a choice that profoundly affects the country's future. This election is the most significant in living memory, and it's time we stood up and stopped evil. Evil men succeed only when good men do nothing.

      Are you aware of the ancient historians that wrote about Jesus, or at least mentioned him? There's about 10 different early historians that do so. That means more historians mentioned Jesus than they did Caesar. If Caesar existed, then Jesus did.

    • @kimbal1958
      @kimbal1958 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@JulianGentry - Dead & Rising Gods follow a theme; which there are 12, and Jesus life is the composite of all 12. There are 6 Christs in the ancient world and Krishna is the first and original. Paganism invented the Xristos and Dead & Rising God process which is needed for Creation's stability. Theses Dead & Rising gods don't always follow every detail in the life of Jesus, but that is not the point. Debunking one deity, based on Jesus life is not proving your case; as its ALL 12 you need to look at as a "composite whole." The biblical Antichrist comes into this as well in a major way, and is part of the story line of deception. All those historians who mention Jesus ( Tacitus & Josephus, etc) as existing, are forgeries and were part of a Church conspiracy. Believing in Jesus is part of the Great Deception or Apostasy mind trick upon humanity. There is a good reason for why this is so, but way to deep to cover here. Mentioning someone by name does not make them a real person. ( I could write about Harry Potter in my stories, but he is not a real person. ) Likewise, your reasoning about "If Caesar existed, so did Jesus" is flawed. Your implying Jesus existence is based on Caesar's existence. That has no basis in logic. For example - The writer could have been "paid off" to mention the person in the text, in order to convert the ignorant reader of the day. People do lie. Plenty of videos showing why this could be so. It seems - people just want to believe in a Jesus as they need a security crutch in life. The initials "JC" stand for "Julius Caesar " who called himself the SUN OF MAN ( not Son of man ), as the Romans were primarily Sun Worshipers, and the name "Jesus" means "Hail Zeus" when you go into the etymology of the language. I could go into a lot more detail, but this is not the place to do it.

    About the "Falling From Grace" topic and a little bit beyond: to first put your trust in Jesus you have to believe that you are a sinner. Beliefs can change in time, and that's why we are told to persevere in that belief I think. Good acts are done as actions of grace and thanks, no? But bad acts will be done as long as we are in this flesh. My issue is: how do we rein in this flesh?

    • @JulianGentry
      @JulianGentry 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Agreed. God sends his Spirit to us, and He has prepared good works for us to perform. Hebrews says we can approach God's throne with confidence in prayer. This means we rein in the flesh with the help of God Almighty. How cool! Keep in mind that we will never be perfect this side of heaven, but we sure can do a lot to rein in the flesh. You're right that beliefs can change. Someone's belief in God may change to unbelief; that person would willingly be giving up their salvation to believe a lie.

    Unfortunate that a picture of "belief in the Sacred Heart" is used as standing for the Truth of christ. When I consider folks that have strained to compare Jesus or Gospel to Pagan sources, I always think back on the fact that the creator of false religion was himself present in the Garden when God stated that there would be a saviour son of woman. That makes it natural that the Devil would introduce the theme in false religion, even before the fulfillment of the promise.

      @@JulianGentry The criticism I'm leveling is not about which deity he makes claims about. My criticism is with the word "copy". I think Tammuz is definitely related to Jesus by way of genetic diffusion, but pretty distantly. Your argument to me is like someone stating falsely that Linguists claim that Icelandic copied German, and then objecting that there are all these differences between Icelandic and German, so they must be unrelated. Carrier, on the other other hand, addresses relationships between deities in terms of syncretisms - merging through borrowing (either textual exchange/mimesis, or cultural exchange through intermarriage and such). That is not copying. A syncretism would include characteristics, in this case, from Judaism as well as from elsewhere, so it is guaranteed not to be a copy.

    "Jesus Name - The name of Tammuz" > th-cam.com/video/RSS-meSuDyQ/w-d-xo.html Ιησούς = Iēsoûs So Yahusha is English for the Hebrew name of the Messiah (anointed King of Israel) and Jesus is the name of the Greek “good man” or Chistos, It is that simple, But what does “Iesous” mean in Greek. It has no meaning in Hebrew; as it is not a Hebrew word. In Greek, “Iesous” literally translated means “Hail Zeus”. The name “Jesus” didn’t even exist until the 4th Century and was a later derivative of the late Latin Isus. “It is known that the Greek name endings with 'sus', 'seus', and 'sous' were attached by the Greeks to names and geographical areas as means to give honor to their supreme deity, "Zeus." Another point is - Jesus Christ abbreviated is often said as JC. "JC" was the initials for the name "Julius Caesar" in the first century. "Julius Ceasar" was often called "JC," which the Romans took and used to make the fictious identity of "Jesus Christ." Julius Ceasar believed he was the "SUN OF MAN" and an incarnated God. This has been verified in Roman history. His son Tiberius Caesar claimed to be the son of the "Sun Of Man." Reference > th-cam.com/video/gHOK66qj9xc/w-d-xo.html

    Why did not the Jews of the time write or mention these events? They knew Jesus as a teacher, not God. Then, when Jesus was killed, it killed the Christians's belief that that was not supposed to happen. Then, 40 years later, the Gospels claimed Jesus was resurrected, thus "resurrecting" Christianity. This is why 80% of the other Gospels are copied from Mark, and no contemporary account of these events exists. Why do we have endless details about Ceasar from his detractors as well as his supporters, but nothing about Jesus other than the story in the Gospels? Why don't we know the date Jesus was born or died, but we do for Ceasar. Believe what you want; just don't insist it's true without something more than a story written by people promoting religions.

    • @JulianGentry
      @JulianGentry 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Your information is incorrect on several points: - The resurrection was not an invention 40 years later. The creed mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15 is likely from 52-57 AD, only 20 or so years later. - There is debate about whether Mark or Matthew came first. You can't just claim the others copied from Mark so confidently. - There are more contemporary non-Christian authors that mention Jesus than mention Julius Caesar. Some of them are: Suetonius, Tacitus, Mara bar-Serapion, Pliny the Younger, Phlegon, Lucian, Celsus, Josephus, and the Jewish Talmud.

    God's incompetence is proven by the failure to protect the temple & The King of the Jews hanging from a tree in the good news of victory as in war. Men have always known faith as a farce, a means of social control, state propaganda. The great evil of faith is it serving as a mask for insanity & authoritarians. Faith commits the crime of indoctrinating children with a fantasyland. Faith is worthless, as proven by the failure of return of a Christ & failure to protect the Jewish temple, the pinning to a tree. "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree:" Galatians 3:13 The Egyptian goodies were stolen from the tombs as fast as they were covered. The root of the problem is our history was fabricated after a dark age with bible chronology, before the development of archeology & stratigraphy. The Christian archeologist is confounded by two miracles: of being the only cult in history failing to build temples or churches for 300 years, and then building in the same style as the pagan basilica of 300 years before. In the XII century significant events take place, as described in the Gospels: the coming of Jesus Christ, his life and crucifixion, although the existing text of the Gospels was edited and most likely dates to the XIV-XV cc. In the mid XII century, in the year 1152, Jesus Christ is born. In secular Byzantine history he is known as Emperor Andronicus and St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called in Russian history he was portrayed as the Great Prince Andrey Bogolyubsky. To be more specific, Andrey Bogolyubsky is a chronicler counterpart of Andronicus-Christ during his stay in Vladimir-Suzdal Rus’ of the XII century, where he spent most of his life. In fact, the Star of Bethlehem blazed in the middle of the XII century. This gives us an absolute astronomical dating of Christ’s Life. [ЦРС], ch.1. ‘Star of Bethlehem’ - is an explosion of a supernova, which at present is incorrectly dated to the middle of the XI century. The present-day Crab Nebula in the Taurus Constellation is the remnant of this explosion. Enigmatic timber scarcity in Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages as first recognized by dender-pioneer Ernest Hollstein (1918-1988) "No sites exist anywhere with uninterrupted timber specimen from about 1000 CE backwards to Imperial Antiquity(1st-3rd c.). which is why the dendro-chronologies for Ancient Rome and, thereby the entire first millennium are in disarray. Since the very existence of the chronology periods without wood samples was never doubted by the researchers, nobody started to question our textbook chronology. Instead, out of stratigraphic context, scholars searched for wood samples in wells or moors to fill the irritating gaps. In addition, identical reign sequences were used twice in a row to gamer more years. Therefor, "all dendrochronological datings done on West Roman time wood is wrong by some unknown number of years"(") th-cam.com/video/c876lPZ-UZU/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=PlanetAmnesia
