WOW! That illusion was GREAT! Chaning the feather on their hats from black to orange and then back to black! That's cool! I want to know how they did it!
No props, no junk on the field, just flawless marching with a group of kids that produce a huge wall of sound. This show should’ve won this year. Just phenomenal!
I don’t believe it’s necessary to put down one band in order to praise another, but with all due respect to Carmel, Reagan should have placed 1st in 2005.
For anyone that was involved with this show, I'm just now noticing half the battery being basically on the front sideline with the other half being closer to the back hash. Was the whole battery playing at the opening impact, and if so, how long did it take to get the percussion ensemble to get that all lined up?
I remember what seems like ages ago when I went through a phase of watching BOA videos. I always return to this show. It's so awesome and memorable as a band and wind ensemble enthusiast. So many great works woven together. It's a dream ❤
This is the greatest band show of all time. Reagan in 2001 was ahead of it's time. Notice how they actually played in their movements. This is legendary.
This is Reagan's greatest show. The cost of it was that subsequent directors chose style over story. Mark Chamber's knew who to tell a story with words and drill. We won't see this ever again.
This is seriously the most amazing show I've seen. My sister marched it. Modern band spawned from this revolutionary show. Still impressive twenty years later!
My sister was in it too! We are now 2 generations in the band. My daughter wanted to see her Tias show. She is in the current band, we are deep in competitions right now. UIL State tomorrow.
8:58 to the climax of the PM’s Love Theme at 10:00 is the most emotional piece of music I’ve ever heard in the activity. 15 years later and it’s still absolutely breathtaking.
For real! My brother was in this show when I was a little kid and this show made me want to do band. I still listen to it all the time now as an adult.
I was at BOA 2005 and saw this live. My band didn't advance to semi finals (we were a few spots out) so we got to watch everything for free. Man... the stuff I saw that year at BOA changed my life. Such imaginative writing going on, and incredible playing.
I would have to agree as well! I've listened to this piece over and over for the last 15 years as well. Every time I listen to it , I hear something new. Whoever wrote this piece is a musical genius! At 9:47 the intricate runs were so well organized and so beautifully created that its sounds are heavenly and it keeps building until 10:00. The musicality is so powerful and spiritual at the same time. It inspires me! Absolutely breathtaking. One of my favorites of all time!
I've loved this performance for as long as it's been up on TH-cam. It's one of my favorites and I'm pretty sure I own at least 1,000 of the views that this video has.

they had an orange ploom (feather) and then put a wrap black wrap over it you can see the black in between their legs when their plooms are orange

As a clarinet myself I love the clarinet appreciation in this show
Reagan clarinet sections were on fire this era…

Still thinking about it here, as well… Reagan was perfect that year.
Such an intense opening.. love this so much.. I bet they had so much fun with this show great job
Never can for that opener
20 years. Still my number one favorite show.

I was in the front battery. I believe it was two quads, two snares. And first and second bass. We worked pretty extensively on that opener.
Played first bass in this show. What a great experience
Almost 20 years later and that opening hit still gives me goosebumps!
thank you for uploading
What was the name of this show?
"You Never Know"
@@danielsanchez4881clearly I didn’t hear the beginning cause he says it right in the announcement 😉
Sick battery

So proud that I got to be apart of this amazing show 🙌🏻
This show is what made me a Reagan band fan.
This show is marching band history. No one had ever seen a show like this and every band started copying this types a show for years after.
I remember watching this from the stands during semis, visuals still take my breath away 💖

Ah the year I missed. My fam marched the years prior and I marched Synergy forward. Breathtaking.
This was my junior year. One of the best drills Mark Chambers and co. put together. I can't believe it's 16 years since this moment.
omg I cant believe this is on yt. my favorite reagan show
Bruh, Dennis, crazy to find ya in the comments, but I completely agree! This show is everything!
Thanks for the HD quality video
8:14 I need to hear a band play this live in my lifetime
This part makes me miss marching band..

Agreed. Early 2000s RR HS shows are an everlasting mark of joy upon my soul.
