Planning an outdoor activity for your family after pandemic?
Hiking is one of the best option and Bukit Papan is one of the best choice for family hike or beginner hikers.
The trail is combination of slightly steep and flat road with distance of 6.5km (round trip) and sea level of 373m.
We took around 2.5 hrs to complete whole trip including photo taking session and resting.
There are farms along the hiking trail. Hikers, kindly make sure keep the place clean and do not simply take the fruits from the farm.
Besides, be aware of the motorcycle passed by as well. There is a fallen tree during our hike. So be careful in case the tree still blocking the way.

Depends on your pace. I normally take around 30-40 mins to reach there.

The gym is on the top of bukit jambul trail.
How long is the one way hike?
Take around 1 hrs to reach the station 222. Round trip takes around 2 hrs. 😊

Just don’t go near to them should be fine. Maybe can bring along hiking pole can protect yourself in case anything happen.
Did you pass by the Buddhist stupas on the way up?
Nope. I use another route up. You can also pass by the Buddhist stupas but i nvr try out that route before.

I start hiking around 3.30pm. Hike for around 2 hrs (round trip) and back to the beach and enjoy sunset.

Yes. You can park either the multistory car park or the car park behind the cable car station (refer to 0:36, walk straight will see the car park). You can reach the peak around 1 - 2.5 hrs depends on how fast you are.

Hi.. u can waze bukit hijau cangkat tembaga. The entrance is behind the terrace house (dead end), u turn left then can see the stairs to start hiking.

The starting point of Bukit Papan is right beside Orchard Ville Condominium. For those who interested, you can search this location from waze. The parking here is limited, if you hiking in group, suggest to carpool. 😉
How to get there
U can search permatang damar laut balai polis through waze. Park your car there and walk into the beach…
May i know where do we need to park the car if hike from this trail? Is it we can purchase 1 way ticket thru online?
Hi, you can park at the multilevel car park or car park behind the penang hill station (refer my video 0:35 go straight you will see the carpark). Or car park available at roadside (but normally is full unless early in the morning). As I know, we can only purchase ticket through counter there. You can either buy before or after hiking. 😊

Wow! I didn't know such a trail existed until I watched this video. I usually hiked up with my friends to station 5 via Moongate or another trail at Youth Park. Thanks for introducing this route to us all! In addition to that, I like how well done your hiking vlog is. A commendable effort indeed! Keep up the great work! I will share this to my friends.

Thanks alot.. This is also one of my favorite hiking trail. A short trail takes around 20 mins to reach peak and can enjoy sunrise view. The most amazing thing is there is hidden waterfall and you can spend some time to take nice photos. 😉😉

There are many routes inside the jungles. Some is known as rocket trails which lead you to Bukit Cendana. Some is unknown route. Anyone try before? Can share the details if you try before.
