in the background, instead of the usual sound of songbirds and crickets, we can hear the lumberjacks.

❤❤ what is it?
They were Monarch caterpillars, but now all 3 are chrysalises. God willing, by Sunday, they will all come out of their chrysalises and be released at Garretson's Harvest Festival. For more info and directions, go to Garretsonfarm.org.

@@John21199 thanks John.
Precious little one
💙💙💙😆👍
Nice
Skipper butterflies are cute & fast! I hadn’t seen any in our yard until we established the plants needed for Monarch butterflies ~ then the Skippers appeared!
Nice to know that there are Red Admiral Butterflies in Northern Jersey. Good for you ~ Spreading the Milkweed pods in areas where there aren’t any ~ more host plants can hopefully attract more Monarchs!
I saw that the 2nd Monarch butterfly is a female!
❤interesting
Nice vid
❤❤❤
Cute 🐰
Who knew?
You know how you believe finances are common knowledge? I thought for sure everyone knew lawns are evil.
Fantastic that the Monarch butterflies have arrived at Garretson’s in north Jersey! We hope they’ll arrive here soon! There’s at least 25 milkweed plants in bloom here in central NJ, as well as the prolific butterfly bushes!
Good for you!
Beautiful to see 2 types of Pollinators on the same plant!
❤❤❤beautiful
Fun to watch when a rabbit eats a blade of grass like a kid would with spaghetti!
Milkweed is a Native American perennial wildflower. It's not for sale in Australia. It has been smuggled into Hawaii along with Monarch butterflies. Plants and animals that are not native to Australia have wreaked havoc on Australia's native plants and animals. Grow plants that are native to your area. We grow milkweed because our Native American Monarch Butterflies can't live without it. Identify the butterflies in your neighborhood. Find out what plants they require to survive and have fun with it.
Milk weed is beautiful. I haven't seen it before. Thank you for sharing. I live in Australia. Do you know if we can get this here.

A cabbage white, my favorite butterfly 💓
You must be a kindred spirit. I have been raising Monarchs for two years in the San Francisco Bay Area and my Grandparents were in Brooklyn. Fond memories of visiting them when we were kids. I am curious about your butterfly feeder and where you got it? I found the most helpful guidance regarding every aspect of raising Monarchs from a science teacher here on TH-cam. He has a playlist of over 50 short videos and his name is MrLundScience. I released almost 100 last year! It was an incredible and rewarding experience. Glad to see people all over are starting to get involved to save these beauties. Cheers!
I made it out of lids. Poke holes in a small lid and place it in a slightly larger lid of a different color.
@@caterpillarnana Thanks!
Totally is a beautiful one ☀☀☀🌆
I just might go back up for the sunset. It's looking good already.

Beautiful butterflies! Can understand your passion. 💛🦋🐛💛
What a beautiful day for a butterfly release! It was 80° & ☀️
Legend says the butterfly is still on the flower 🌸
Good decision to not release them today (Friday) because of the rain & bad flooding. They liked the liquid nourishment you provided. Soon these 3 beautiful Monarchs will be heading to Michoacan, Mexico. They fly during the day & roost at night; they can’t fly over the Gulf of Mexico because it’s too far a distance, they go around it. From NJ, they fly south to Georgia, then west through the Gulf states into Texas. That’s where they head South again.
Good research. I hope my viewers read your educational comment.
The silliness is off the charts
You know you're a gamer when your w key is completley blank
Please stay calm mam the emergency services are on their way
my kitty actually likes my games he'll sit right next to me following along and everything hes like my wingman lol
That's adorable!
you have been locked in place by cats XD
I've just resorted to turning off my Bluetooth keyboard whenever my cat enters the room, because she'll either start chewing on it or walk all over it. I have to hide my phone from her as well because if she feels like I'm not paying her enough attention, she chews on that too. Cats really seem to hate electronics.

How wonderful it is to see Trina enjoying the release of some of the Monarch butterflies you raised! That’s a beautiful white orchid on the table next to Trina! Her message about protecting the environment and pollinators is timeless!
Thanks. Will the kids bring us butterflies some day?
How wonderful to see all the Monarchs! You’ve raised so many that emerged at the same time this year. Near the end of the video, you have at least 5 Monarchs on a beautiful bouquet of flowers ~ how pretty! The female that just emerged was an added bonus! I think this is your 2nd or 3rd release this summer at Garretson’s Forge & Farm. Sadly, we haven’t seen any Monarchs this year (several homes who regularly raise Monarch Butterflies in Union County NJ) nor any eggs on our many, many Milkweed plants, which is highly unusual 😢 Could it be that the unhealthy /very unhealthy levels of smoke from the massive Canadian wildfires has something to do with it? Maybe some from Garretson’s will stop here on their way South to Mexico. We can only hope they do 😊
