Painreceptor(nociceptors)are present not only on skin but also on the muscle, joints,tendon and viscera....n if u r a daaktar u can make a rough estimate of the musles present in neck which proprtionates the pain.....n roughly it takes 20s for a Cattle to be unconscious i.e it feels pain upto that time, doesn't seem quite humane......n as u said about all the blood drained out of artery that's not the case because in a substantial number of cases the arteries get retracted by surrounding tissues causing incomplete evacuation of blood..... N finally someone's pain (even a slightest) can't be the basis of your happiness....... God bless u
