Ahhh the bloodborne experience. I started playing a couple days ago and it was pretty much like you. Such an amazing game! I’m sad in advance for when i finish it

Hey man, love the genuine and hilarious reactions! Not trying to brag here, I've gotten the platinum trophy so I certainly play enough to lend you some helpful advice and tips I wish I had. Don't worry no spoilers just some useful stuff to know how to build your character up. Attributes: Vigor is health obviously Endurance is stamina as I'm sure you know lol Strength and Skill both work very similarly as they increase damage for weapons but, different weapons scale better with one or the other, they increase damage in general though and can go together to make you do more damage with pretty much all melee weapons. Bloodtinge is actually your guns damage but certain weapons and hunter tools which are basically magic artifacts can scale with it as well Arcane is basically magic and scales with the hunter tools artifacts, it can scale with certain weapons as well These all have a cap on them so, don't let it fool you into thinking you can level up attributes to 99, I mean you can but it sometimes makes little difference and just a waste of echoes and time after a certain point. Stamina eventually barely moves, I wouldn't worry about it once you hit 30-40 stamina I'm at 50 and it barely looks different than from 40. Health is important. You will need it. One shot awaits otherwise. Back to attributes and weapons, they have letters like " S A B C D E " These letters are what tell you not just skill requirements but what specific items scale with attributes, scaling just meaning attributes that benefit the item. Blood gems are buffs to weapons, you add them to matching slot shapes on weapons at the station you fortify and repair weapons, later you will have other tools, one unlocks a new function to the weapon workstation and the other will unlock the altar station where you put buffs on your character from runes. Damage to weapons is shown in the lower menu labeled durability It shows you the cost to repair the weapon and if it shows a weapon then it needs repaired, it costs more the higher sustained damage and lowers weapon efficiency. Guns never break for some reason so, yeah they're fine lol Btw dodge to the left with the blood starved beast, it works most of the time bc you're out of attack range and can slip behind it. Viscerals dont heal you (yet), they game has a rally system. if you take damage you will be able to recover a certain ammount of the damage taken by attacking. the game encourages you to play aggressive

My guy on the first comment isnt wrong about kirkhammer but i went through the game with only strength and vitality with it..i 3 shot some bosses which was fun. As always enjoying this content.id say bloodborne is a huge game and without the wiki i wouldnt be able to see all of the game.

Theres no fake lamps or chests in bloodborne. Keep it up !

ok so ill explain the weapon stuff a bit just to help out a little: Your main 2 are Strength and Skill. Strength based weapons are slower but deal high damage (most of the time this is simplified) Skill weapons are faster which is a better fit for the games pace imo (also scales up your visceral damage) Bloodtinge is guns (most of the time) and Arcane is magic stuff, both of which you can ignore Then theres hidden weapon types, theres righteous and serrated. Serrated does more damage vs beasts Righteous does more damage vs well... youll see... the Kirkhammer (while kinda shit in general imo) is righteous, which is why it didnt feel like it was doing a lot against the beast patients (also your kirkhammer wasnt upgraded, id recommend interacting with the table behind Gehrman to the right) Generally, Saw stuff is serrated and good against beasts and stuff that looks ornemental and like its its made for decoration rather than fighting is righteous. Again this is very simplified. Lore, ill let you figure out but one more thing is your vials will always heal a % of your max hp so dont worry about needing to upgrade them and put some points into vitality at some point. ||And regarding the lamp situation, if you havent found it already. that little spiral staircase you walked up is the shortcut back to the initial lamp, you were literally right there to get back safely lmao||

its very fun watching someone be so exited about the Beast Patients, usuall people are scared af. Makes me wonder what the reaction is gonna be to the boss

theres other comments that explain parrying so ill just quickly touch on progression: Youre going the right way. Cleric Beast is optional but id recommend fighting him as it explains another major boss mechanic in the game (youll figure it out) after that, just explore Cathedral Ward. Theres closed gates and an item you can buy in the shop to open them but id recommend not doing that. Explore, and youll find another area thats theoretically optional but it would be funny to see your reaction to that areas boss and once youve beaten her, you can go back and open those gates (more or less)

ignore the mad ppl also everytime you hit a parry walk close to him and then just press R1 on your controller to deal good damage

Watching the parries ans literally NEVER doing the actual visceral is rage enducing

parries are timed like other souls games, you press the button just before the attack lands. Afterwards you should walk up close and tap light attack and it will do a visceral attack which gives you i-frames and does massive damage

Barrels sometimes hide shortcuts or loot, I suggest rolling into them instead of swinging at them

i said to shot BEFORE the attack connects,also NEAR them and press r1,all you did was a normal attack not a visceral attack. missed an npc up there where you was,also you missed a gem in gascoin area on the roof

W game, instantly subbed

shoot enemies before they attack you then go forward and press r1(attack) for a visceral atttack,that works on all humanoid bosses and all enemies You can also do a charged attack behind enemies to stagger them for a visceral attack,this works only when weapon is not transformed thou

A tip try to use charged R2 from behind after sneaking As for the second boss try to get behind him

Another fun thing about bloodborne your supposed scripted death isn't even to a boss, bloodborne really tells you how the game is gonna treat you by throwing a half health beast at you.

Just keep chugging along my guy, you'll get used to bloodborne, and get better and better. Though i will say between the editing and your commentary you have earned my subscribe.

Seeing you play bloodborne reminds me of my first time, little trick for the two doggos, they have a hard time fitting through the door to the shortcut house, good place to take a reprieve and heal before R2 spamming them in the doorway, just be sure to clear the house first.

good news is youre almost done with this area. you found both bosses (cleric Beast is optional but easier), you could explore the sewers a bit more. Bad news is that its only gonna get worse for you from here (:

a little tip: destroying barrels/crates is useful, sometimes there's goodies behind :)

I gotta say i enjoy these videos. You're playing exactly how i played my first time!! You still have a lot of exploring to do..missed 1 weapon and still the set of armor. Keep it up!!

Serrated weapons do more damage on beasts. So the saw cleaver or saw spear. A good way to take out those big dudes is a full charged up r2 attack with the hunter axe and then a back step to avoid the attack. Hope this helps!

you get the ability to level up after getting to the first boss, just kill some more beasts and at some point you'll get to it
