    Hello Excellent video, thank you very much. I have a 1948 Cadillac and a 1950, the 1950 has a 331 engine like yours and I have been trying to get it up and running. In the video I have a question about how the dwell angle (30°) is measured with the digital multimeter???? Hola Excelente video, muchas gracias. Yo tengo un Cadillac 1948 y un 1950, el1950 tiene un mnotor 331 como el suyo y lo he estado tratando de colocar a punto. En el video me queda la duda de como mide con el multimetro digital el angulo de permanecia (30°)????

    That's a heavy car to move all by yourself. Did you all those hash marks on the rear quarter ? I thought only Fleetwoods had that trim ? IDK. My 55 CDV did not.

    • @timwarlick1565
      @timwarlick1565 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it was heavier than I thought it would be. Regarding the "hashmarks"...I'm not sure why they're there. There's also only eleven of them on each side. I think the Fleetwoods had twelve.

      @@timwarlick1565 those 54-56 Cadillacs are still THE ICONIC Cadillac, in my opinion. Are you going to go back to the Gold paint? Are you gonna do any Kustom work on it? I have a pal in Indiana that had a wrecked (rear ended) '55... He ended up finding another 55 rear clip, so he extended the rear fenders about a foot and a half, then stuck a Continental tire between the fender extensions. He lucked out and found five chrome Eldo Sabre Spoke wheels for the car... And his was painted that gold with a cream roof. Cream n gold, "original style" interior. If someone didn't know what they were looking at, it looks exactly like something Harley Earl would have built for the MotoRama. Cheers!

    • @timwarlick1565
      @timwarlick1565 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @slick andrews ..since the car is so complete and numbers matching, the plan is to keep it as original as possible. The factory colors were goddess gold with a black roof. I’m not sure how far I’ll go with the body and paint. I’m thinking that I might attempt to strip down to the original paint and see what happens.

    Have you bled the brake system? In the master cylinder of my 55, the by-pass hole opening from the top is about 5/32, but then it necks down to a small pin hole about 1/64". Bench bleed of the master seemed very good but haven't bled the entire system on the vehicle yet. Just curious if you had any issues.

    Earlier in video you said you will paint those areas on the crossmember when you remove engine...wouldn’t it just have been easier to remove oil pan when you remove engine and replace oil pan gasket at that time? Unless you’re not going to remove engine then I understand. But sounds like more work than needed.

    • @timwarlick1565

      Yes definitely easier to remove the pan with the engine out. The reason I've removed the pan now is just to clean it.
