I have eaten there twice and if your Mexican you can do better elsewhere if you like Taco Bell you will love this place. Not much flavor! I think they serve this food at hospitals.

I don't ever remember actually eating there. We very rarely ate out when I was a kid so when we did Pancho's was never on the list of places we would go despite my please for sopapillas. Sadness.

Good stuff. It's kind of cool that carne guisada is only a CC thing, but I really wish it was more popular around the country because it's so delicious. I can make a pretty good replica, but people around here don't share my enthusiasm for it so I don't make it very often. I also still think about Elva's and The Destroyer to this day I wish I could remember what all was in it. As a side note, I loved the appearance in Collier Park. I swam hundreds of miles in that pool on swim team. Good times.

Julio's is one of my favorite lunch spots in all of town. Right up there with Yoli's at Houston and Kostoryz. (Used to be a maverick market. If you Google it, I bet you'll recognize it.) It's only like 3 or 4 blocks from where we grew up.
