Isn’t the pfaff like $17,000.00 more than the Bernette ?
The Pfaff is a top of the line, and the Bernette is more of a entry-midlevel. Sometimes it's fun to see the comparison between two machines to see what's similar and what's different, though you're totally accurate!
I have a Pfaff 1222E that is 45 years old, the semi-industrial/home machine made from the 60’s to the 90’s. It is still a workhorse and I will never give it up but I am looking at getting the Jamome HD9 as my new machine. I like the fact it has the two threading paths and the M-size bobbin.
It would be a great addition!
Does it come with a stylus pen like the 880?
It does come with a stylus, but it looks more like a stylus for a phone or tablet as it's a different type of screen.
wow you just helped me SO MUCH thank you!! had no idea about the threading feature OR the autocutter!!
Happy to help! 😁
Is there any advice you have on the machine? Like what not to do on it?
One great tip of advice, which is valid on all machines, is to make sure you change your needle fairly often. We usually recommend about every 8 hours of sewing time. Needles get dull over time, plus the less you break needles, the better for the machine!
What tension should I have on my allegro for standard an quilting with 100% cotton material
For Free Motion Quilting, if you crank the tension up to 7 it will help keep it nice and even for you! For regular piecing or straight line quilting, keeping it at the default (usually around 4-5) will be just fine.
That's a nice machine!
Considering this machine for my daughter. What is the difference between this machine and the SE700?
Loved Tina, I own the Liminair and learned more from Tina than anywhere. She is the best presenter brother has.
I so would never buy another one if not self threading so love my self threader
I have this machine, absolutely love it.
I’m confused on throat space. I believe you said 6.5 inches of space is okay but other places say at least 8.5 is needed. What is correct? Thanks
You can technically use this frame at 6.5", though it will have a very narrow quilting area. Most people prefer to have 8" or larger - when you put a machine on a frame like this, it's a good habit to consider it losing 2 inches of the throat space for the pole and quilt to be accommodated. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the demo it was great
THX 4 GREAT info!!!
Thank you for the great demo for the Luminair, love the features!
I would like to see a sewing machine that eliminates the foot pedal. I'm imagining a squeeze dongle that sits in the palm of your hand. You only need 3 fingers to steady and grab the fabric.
That's a cool idea! For now, a lot of machines do have a Start/Stop Button on the machine. The Bernina 990 has that icon with two dots on the front, with a green light around it when you're safe to sew.
Hi Superstar Megan! Hi Rob!
You are way too fast clicking on icons for a beginner to even begin to follow. I definitely need to find other videos.
I was looking at the 1700E on Saturday!
You're saying 'woops' a lot. Baby Lock is far easier and more intuitive and the stitches are far more consistent
I purchased this machine in the UK 🇬🇧 2 wks ago from my local Pfaff machine dealers & received it yesterday!!! I was giddy with excitement just waiting for it to arrive. It's unboxed now. It looks beautiful, sleek & elegant🥰 & I'm off to switch it on to explore🎉🥰
I love my Kiwi and purple chair!
I have a large sewing room for my sewing, machine embroidery, quilts, and crafting!
My Pfaff Performance Icon and Pfaff Creative Icon 2 live in a Koala Dualmate cabinet, in central VT!
Can i do free standing lace from my flare embroidery machine?
You absolutely can!
My favorite time of the month! Sew fun videos 👏👏❤️
Hi, not being a jerk, but if you actually use the little thing that looks like a pen cap appendage, you don't have to fuss as much pulling the thread for the piercing needles. You don't have to try and get the loop and pull. Just insert in the loop, and drag it all the way until the tail is through the eye of the needle.
Great tip!
I attached my dual foot today and broke 3 needles. I have looked at all the videos but none have said anything about tension. I have the Brother Stellaire. Is there anything I may have missed?
Usually, on the Dual Feed Foot, you don't need to adjust tensions. Sometimes, your spool of thread can have a knick on it that the thread is getting caught on, so double check that if you haven't. Breaking that many needles is unusual, so we'd recommend giving us a call if you can! 1-888-897-6362. We'll be able to ask a few more questions to try and help if you do!
I have the 6600P and the 6700P. Love them both. Was curious about the continental machines but sounds like mine is great.
Those machines are fabulous, but the motor in the Continental Machines is completely different and even more powerful. We'd recommend giving one a test drive and see what you feel!
Can you enlarge all the stitches to be jumbo stitches?
The majority of decorative stitches can be turned into Jumbo Stitches!
I would like to see videos on how to use it with usb cord, if you don't have internet
Thank you for the suggestion!

I LOVE my b68. It's a beast and works like a dream.
Does this work with the Brother machines?
If you have a Grace Cutie Frame, then this does work with most Brother machines. You can give us a call to confirm! 1-888-897-6362
Looks very interesting!!
I have the Pfaff Creative Icon 2 and really love it, you are right, it’s a work horse of a machine! I also wish I could buy the Luminaire as my Pfaff can be pretty loud and I love the Disney designs! Thanks for the review!
I am interested in getting one of these machines, but I want to be able to draw my own designs and import them into the machine. Is that possible??
Embroidery software can give you that ability! If you're not sure which brand to get yet, also check out the Brother Artspira App - You have the ability to draw and send designs directly to the machine with that. There are also Brother and Baby Lock Machines that enable you to draw directly on the screen and create an embroidery design, such as the Brother Stellaire 2 or the Baby Lock Meridian 2.
Does the mc6700p stitch on like stretchy thin delicate material?
It does so beautifully!
Thank you, just got mine Monday, now I’m ready to sew !
Does the 635 have a knee lifter?
This machine does not have a knee lift. The Pfaff Expression 720 does, though!
Can you usb
Yes, you sure can!
Hi. I’ve been researching vacuums as my 28 year old Hoover (upright) finally gave up the ghost. My small condo has mostly hard floors (tile, hardwood) and carpet only in the bedroom. Should I get the upright or try the canister option? Thanks for your feedback. 😊
Looking for a vacuum that you can turn off the brushroller would be the ideal situation if you have mostly hard floors. Canister vacuums give you the ability to use a specific head for that purpose, where uprights some people find easier to move around. The Felix Premium line would be a great option that's easy to move, you can swap the power head to a hardwood floor head, or you can turn that roller off. The SEBO Airbelt E3 line is a great canister vacuum as well.
@ Your response is much appreciated. I like that the Felix has the option to turn the brush off or to swap the head out for bare floors. I also like service of the roller, bag, and filter are easily accessible. I’m going to check out the upright and canister SEBO options this weekend at my local retailer. Informative videos are so helpful when doing research.
@@edwardh8853 Just a bit of info from my perspective of the Sebo E3, which I currently have for 6 months. I have a small house, about 1100 sq ft, all LVP flooring with an 8 x 12 rug in one room and find the Sebo to be a PITA. It constantly gets hung up on furniture, corners, door jams etc. I am calling my dealer and asking if they do trade-ins so I can exchange/trade it for the Felix. The cannister itself rolls smoothly and functions flawlessly. The power head is awesome, but stopping to change it to do the rug is also a PITA. The hose is not 100% kink free, but much much better than most. An annoyance I have is with the slide switch right at your fingertips. It can easily / accidentally be moved. I also find it to be heavy but that may be that I'm an old weakling. LOL For me, a cannister does not fit my situation.
COuld you help me, I am looking at buying one for my wife but I do not understand the difference between two Brother Models. The Brother NS2850D Innov-ís Sewing & Embroidery Machine is twice the price of the Brother NS1850D Sewing and Embroidery Machine yet I only see that it does a slightly larger embroidery area but also has less Disney characters built in so I must be missing something major. Thanks for this video, super helpful!
what is different about this version vs the previous NS1750D?
Hello! The embroidery size is going to be the main difference most people notice first. A lot of new embroiderer's quickly get "hoop envy" and wish for a larger size once they get started! There also are many more sewing stitches and a wider space from the needle to the base of the machine on the NS2850D. We see a lot of people start with one of these machines, then work their way up! If you'd like to get more information, please feel free to give us a call and we can walk you through a few options. Our number is: 1-888-897-6362
One of the biggest differences from the previous series is that these can connect to wifi, which makes them Artspira capable! You can create your own designs and send new ones seamlessly, without a USB stick, straight to the machine from your phone or computer.
@@rockymountainsewingandvacuum Thank you, greatly appreciate your help!
I have Viking Husqvarna Ruby Royale, will this work on the Grace Cutie Breeze. I am looking to buy one. I do a lot of quilting and I would like to start doing my owning stitching. Thanks.
Great question! This will fit any home sewing machine or long arm up to a 19” throat.
what styles of hat will this wide hat cap do?
This is best made for any baseball cap! It works great for the flat brim hats, but also works for the curved baseball caps and is even easier to hoop.
Does it come with Greek letters?
Several machines do not anymore, however, you can absolutely find those designs and use them! It's preferred embroidery file format is .exp.
Great presentation! The tried and true products are great. Thanks.
Thanks for all the great notions and projects 👏 And I agree, seasonal bags should be required 😂
I think I NEED one of these! ❤
Another great presentation 🎉Thanks ❤Time is flying by and Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye 😉
