Good job on the -TL pronuciation for Xolotl. -TL is basicaly prounouced as T or put air on the outer side of the tongue. L is basically almost silent. Never pronounced as settle or kettle. Always at the end of a word. Examples Xolotl Coatl Ahuacatl

I am going over this lessons again and every time I listen I learn something new or remember something from childhood. Both of my grand mothers were half Taino as well as one of my great grand mothers. On my mothers side both grand and great grand ma’s were from the tribu of Guarionex. My fathers mother was from Guayanilla. I call some of our generations “the generations that were taught to forget.” Why? When we were going to grade through university our true history was covered under a shroud that told us how superior the invaders were. Our language was considered uneducated. Through this videos I am reminded how beautiful our people were and how sweet our Taino language is. Again thank you for all the memories coming back to life.

This is true, my grandparents(both) on my mother side are Taino-Arawaks, when my grandpa "married" my grandma he joined her group. My grandma was the chief of the whole family and others non family of Taino origin in the area. When my dad married my mother he joined my mother side and even though he looked white and I don't know or think that he had any native ancestry , he joined us and pretty much became accustomed with out tradition and foods even though his family opposed in the beginning because my mom obviously was not white. To this day only keep in contact with in member from my dad side of the family which is my half sister.
