Queen’s Gambit is great but based on a book not a true story.

Personally, my wife and I loved it and it was the perfect movie to see for our anniversary but I get why you felt that way for sure if thats not your brand of comedy.

I'm glad I saw this review! I went to see BB4 this past weekend. The 2nd movie in the series is still my favorite, but this 4th one was So Awesome!!!!! I enjoyed almost every moment. The only thing I didn't really like was the woman chosen as Will's wife in the movie. Maybe she was too expensive, but it seemed like the best choice would have been for him to have that near death experience in the 3rd movie, reflect on his life, and decide to marry Marcus' sister (Gabrielle Union). That would have upped the stakes for why BOTH Mike and Marcus would go on that journey. But still, I loved it. And *All Hail King Reggie!!!!* 🐔 🤣😂😅

You nailed it. This is an incredibly important and impactful movie shedding light to just a few of the complexities that are involved in the plights of those who fall victim to the darker side of human nature and are he fear and bias that resides there. I agree. I could watch this again simply to catch what I missed the first time. Phenomenal movie. Excellent review.

I quite liked that there was ambuguity to who you should route for, because at ground level, the chaos looked the same. But, from the nuggets of info sprinkled throughout the film, we know the president has entered a third term, is known for killing journalists and was potentially responsible for an antifa massacre (its a little vague but it seems to have happened a while ago in the film and was likely one of the steps that lead to war). I beleive the director even stated that he is a fascist dictator at one point and thats why Texas and california look past their differences to deal with the bigger threat. But yeah the films a great conversation starter, it did a lot to give us spectacle, yet never felt glorified. I swear dude the final action sequence had me just wanting it all to stop, in the best way.

Vergara portrayed this role incredibly and yes, you see the moment Blanco begins to spiral like so many real and fictitious “crime bosses” we’ve seen before. The intoxication from power (and mind altering substances) creates paranoia and mistakes. Her decline wasn’t as disheartening to me as the fact that she tried to do it all for her kids, “protect” and create a plan and a life for her kids, and wanted for a different life for them but in the end the life is what determined their fates as well. Great watch.

Finally a movie that actually depicted the culture, the time and the people correctly. Even depicted Christ biblically correct…hair of wool and bronze skin. Great Acting, Story, Cinematography,Music…and it was Fun to watch. …watching this movie made me feel homesick.

Tonio, What a sweet tribute to Anna! I love how she eventually was living 'The Golden Girls' with her sisters. My brother and I as kids watched bull fighting with my grandmother. We were transfixed if not horrified!
