I was 13 when i first watched this. The first situation comedian and great memories ❤

I forgot how good Kelly Monteith was. Back then you knew you were a comedian when you had your own show.

Kelly Monteith | Series 4 Ep 2 0845am 5.11.24 there's not much to do at home, either, let alone hotel rooms. as i write it is now the presidential election of the American republic. there's, allegedly, some dude and some woman vying for the top job... so what to do? listen to kelly montieth, search for a job, drink.... watch the film the dead zone. and ponder the vagaries of jilly cooper and her commensurate literary style which, obviously, shines a light on my own, seeming, easy going and laid back style of living which is, basically, a stressful and inveterate kow towin' to the thrill kill kult of existential angst, the post modern societal kurse....................in summation a salivating dread called bachelorism.

Kelly Monteith | Series 4 Ep 1 0747am 5.11.24 and he got himself a decent run of series out of the old BBC - not to be confused with the pornographic genre but the British Broadcasting Corp... depending on one's purview. yeah housework is tedious as is being single. the stance being taken being you need to be single to make the time for procrastinating and commenting on the foibles and vagaries of being single, the mating rituals of the lonely and unkempt etc etc...

Thank you so much for uploading these. I was still at school when these were first broadcast on the BBC. Very tame gentle humour compared to today’s rarity. But very pleasant entertainment. That seems so uncool by today standards. Didn’t know there was a Clemente TH-cam channel, until my brother-in-law mentioned it yesterday RIP Mr Monif. Didn’t know Monteith had passed away until I heard about it yesterday.

Unlike many so-called comedians Kelly Monteith was actually funny without being obnoxious. His comedy inspired the type of "over-educated" singing comedy that I do today as an old man. RIP Kelly Monteith a true original funny man.

His English show was quite good in its time, and relaxing. It's still quite good when back upon it is looked. Now that he says fuck and shit, it has lost a certain je ne parle pas francais. When he was acting as if to understand being English, he would have known what geezer means. In becoming American again, he would have had to get that wrong, and probably would have had to start saying, "Gotten," which is also wrong.
