Last time I went, I found out one of them has ADO. When I was here last time, it was slightly catastrophic. I had a massive hit of deja vu, and nearly passed out on camera. I was super lightheaded, and rushed to my PA for help. I know it's random, but I felt like saying that for someone reason, considering that is where I was at the time of the event.

I've noticed this for ages, but listen to the Kone and Otis announcements for 2. They sound sort of different in tone. Also seeming to note: what is with Otis 2000s being modded by KONE nowadays lol

0:32 One good thing about the mod is the arrow animation. Other than that, I have mixed opinions on this.

Cool intro! Thinking of including these in my WestQuay lift tour! Unsure if they are part of WestQuay. Whether this IKEA is or not, it connects with WestQuay giving it a chance to come in.

Ah yes, the most classic of a classic. What I find interesting about this lift is that considering the most basic lifts floor numbering is 0 and 1, or G and 1. But for a first, it does B and G instead! I find the beeping very strange. I don't know how long it's been doing it for. By the sound of the motor, I think this lift uses belt cables instead of Gen2 cables, I meant be wrong though. Regarding the beeping, one time I visited and it actually wasn't beeping. I wonder when the call station was replaced. Well, I don't know if it is a replacement, but micro dewhurst didn't exist in 2000, so defo a change. I like how the lifts recall is to B instead of G, so you have to wait to get to where you want to be instead of getting to where you want to be instantly. I'm pretty sure the basement for this lift is in between Ground and the main Basement, since seeing the stairs, doesn't seem that deep down. The basement is relatively small too. I don't know why, but the aura of a small room and a lift at the end with no one there (if at the time, by the stairs) gives a creepy vibe. Either way, Great stuff! I've been thinking about revisiting Reading for quite some time now! I haven't been in nearly two years! Whilst I'm considering a proper look at the lifts at Southampton for my birthday, Reading is one I'll consider. Chances are I'll stick to Southampton though.

Apparently, despite how fast they sound, they aren't actually that fast. I think this is because they use ratio cabling. Shame that Hammerson screwed up the voice. I wonder what these will be like when they become Kones. By the way, how come the Arundel Circus lift is switched off? Either way, really good! They sound a bit Hydraulic-ish. I wonder what the keyswitch is for. Maybe a staff floor above floor 2? Like the so said "third floor" which isn't third floor? Point is, these are rare. I did walk past these to get somewhere else, way cooler, I wanted to ride them but I didn't have enough time. Amazing lifts!

The thing I like about these; One has a broken indicator, one has a working one One has no voice, one does (at the time I went, I think) One has cold white lighting, one has warm white lighting I do like it when there are lighting differences. No idea why the right lift says B. No doubt, that LS announcement is the new Drucegrove, it sounds like "Lower Second Floor" to me, probably since the voice unit isn't very clear. Didn't notice the light underneath the floor in the left one! Despite how fast these feel, they are only 1.5 M/S! Honestly I would've expected them to be 2. No biggy, these are my favourite M&S lifts, tied with Marble Arch.

I forgot to say, when I got home from my cruise, I went in this. We stopped at the staff floors, since the staff needed to get there. I spoke to a staff member, apparently the UM is for Upper Mezzanine, it opens on the other side (side where CC is)

Nice Otis Gen2 lift. I like the e-View screen, but sadly they are rare in Romania

Zone A and Zone B have been modernised by Kone. Zone C is still Otis. Hopefully they don't end up modernising it as I absolutely hate it when lifts get modernised
