Yes, clean your studio for us! Haha the "view into what you're up to" format is working
Your video feels like actual time portal to the moment than retelling a story.
lovely vlog- thanks for sharing your process:)

Thanks for sharing! Cool vibes. It's cool to see how you work. What are your thoughts on water soluble oil paints? Yay or Nay?
Good question, I actually haven’t used water soluble oils but I definitely hear mixed reviews. Maybe I’ll try them soon and see if they’re worth it

Tried to decipher what you were typing at the intro with 0.25 speed, I concluded the typing was acting, there was no actual import message being typed. Good vibes, good aesthetic, good video 🎉
Somehow I knew this was coming lol, I was typing something but nothing important. Thanks for watching ✌🏻
Nice video❤thanks
Thank you for watching ✌🏻
So pretty !! ❤
Thank you!
I've been watching your videos while I work on my art and it's really nice, thank you🦗
I always watch art vlog when painting, so I love to hear this! Thank you
@@kghstudio I like that your art is real and sincere, it doesn’t feel like content. Nothing against content creator artists, I love them too sometimes, but I’m more interested in seeing the process of an art piece that feels true, like yours? Maybe that sounds dumb🦗
@jonnycrickets completely get it. Sometimes you need something more from art to get that feeling. It’s tricky to catch that sincerity through video or photos. It can be very intimidating to share so I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to share the process or feeling behind everything
I'm looking forward to the next one :)
Can’t wait to share, I promise it’ll come out faster than this one 🤞🏻
@@kghstudio Can’t wait 🙌
love your way of thinking, filming and painting! Especially if everything comes together🤫
Thank you, hope you enjoyed! There's a new one coming soon so you'll get to decide for yourself soon lol
I was out for Nuit Blanche, and I saw some of your paintings in the Stackt market area... Cool to see them in person... I looked around for you, but I don't think you were around. Anyways, keep up the great work! I hope to see more of your stuff around in the real world.
I’m sorry I missed you but I’m glad you got to check it out! I’m actually sick right now so I left Nuit Blanche early, but the gallery’s up all month so you’re welcome to stop by again and chat!
@kghstudio oh! Sorry to hear that you're sick. Get well soon. I'll try to stop by again before month's end.
first time I come across your content! this was so inspiring and relaxing, the show looked great! Congratulations!!!
Glad you found me, it’s so much fun to make these videos so I love to hear ppl like them ❤️
@@kghstudio LOVED IT! yes, I know the feeling, I do some videos as well. Not as successful yet though.
@@CheHojas success is different for everyone, if you’re enjoying the process that’s all that matters!
@@kghstudio that is so true! thank you for the reminder 💜
I've been feeling pretty creatively blocked lately, so it's really nice seeing another artist's process in creating their own work. Great video! 🧡
Thank you, everyone works so differently so I always love watching how other people process things. Hopefully you get out of the block soon 💕
Since Bueller helps you with art creation, can you write off the food and toys you buy for him? (half joking) Another great video from KGH Studio!! Let's gooooo
Li always coming with the good ideas, thanks for watching
Thank you all for watching. I think I'm going to start with the grass composition/ drawing for my next piece but which one do you guys like the most?
the house one (3rd one at 9:07), the middle ones good too
Try photopea.....😅
Photopea’s a good option too, I’m actually using affinity here but both are great
Cool idea the playing with Photoshop; i do find to be true that some good ideas can come from setting limitations, forcing to select certain things, working with them, see what comes to mind now that there are things to guide from
That’s exactly it, when you’re overwhelmed with choices it’s hard to narrow it down to a final composition. With photoshop it doesn’t feel as final, so it’s easier to experiment even though you’re limiting yourself to photos.
@@kghstudio hey TH-cam has been recommending me lots of great music and today I found your band, I could tell by their name😅 th-cam.com/video/mpUAi_Pq_5w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9mj-XBtdX16F8Noc

Love your art and as a painter myself I love this video. definitely gonna keep watching more of them as they come out. Keep up the cool ass art dude!
So glad you enjoyed, thank you for sticking around! I love watching what other artist get up to so these videos feel very full circle
By the way maam, whats the theme of your exhibit?
The exhibit title’s “To Search for the Source of One’s River” and it explore the tension implicit in each artists’ sense of embodiment and belonging. Basically, it’s exploring each of our idea of belonging and situating ourselves in a space.
@@kghstudio ooohhh....yeah, your art piece relates to that. I see that on your work......thumbs up maam!.....
Such a vibe, wonderful video. I watched the whole thing while I'm painting my daily apple XD The paintings are berry good! berry nice! My favorite one is the biggest one with berries. And thanks for the shout out! I'm currently editing that plein air lol. Congrats on another video, hope the next one will be out soon.
Can’t wait to see the next apple and the plain air video! You’ve been posting so much lately and I love it. Thanks as always for watching
Your paintings are very unique
Thank you! It's taken me awhile to find my style but I'm finally confident in what I've been making
@@kghstudio you can mix styles so you can do more unique paintings

Watch my full breakdown on my channel! Tools I Used - 1, 2x4 - 1, 1x2 - Circular saw - Mitre Box & Saw - Clamps - a 90 Degree Angle (to align the corners) - Sanding Paper - Tape Measure - A Straight Edge - Chisel - Pencil - Wood Glue - Staple Gun
love this artist. Great videos. so chilling. PS love the dog!
if you use the fence on that circular saw, you dont need to mark the whole board, and the cut will be more consistant, which i guess isnt a big deal, but it'll still make it easier to cut. edit: Puppy!!!!
Definitely would’ve been easier, but I completely forgot about it. Plus I like to visually see the straight line, I get too paranoid without it! Next time for sure. But yes, Bueller’s always somewhere in the background lol.
@@kghstudio i suppose that makes sense, sounds like the fence wasnt news to you anyway, making my coment unnecessary haha
Not at all, I appreciate you bringing it up!
How do you work on an unstretched canvas?
I usually tape off the dimensions I want and then tape or pin it to the wall
Thank you for the walk thru! I've never seen it done. I'm going to try.
Glad I could help! There’s so many ways to do it, but this is just the easiest way for me. Hope it turns out 🤞🏻
Nice💃💃💃
Love the aesthetic, love the frames(composition), love the music choices, love the explanation, love how natural you are in front of the camera, love your Crocs.
The crocs really make the difference here Thank you
❤
I started making my own stretcher bars exactly the same as you showed. I thought I was the only one who thought of it. The first ones I used a circular saw and then a friend gifted me with a real table saw. Then I purchased a cheap electric miter saw. So now the process is a bit more easier. I always paint on a pre-stretched canvas. I have fears of paint cracking or damaging my finished painting while stretching it.
Yes, I feel like I’m crazy sometimes for doing it this way but I’m just working with what I have. Makes me happy to hear other people have gone through the same thing. Maybe one day, when I declutter the studio, I’ll get myself a table saw. But for working on unstretched canvas, I actually really love it. I feel like it gives me a lot more freedom to experiment. The pressure just isn’t there the same way a stretched canvas is! I’ve never had them crack on me, so let’s hope it stays that way 🤞🏻
@@kghstudio Iv'e never felt pressured by the stretched canvas, except the pressure of locking in the bottom corners. Iv'e always been intrigued by the freedom of running the painting off the edges, it definitely has it's advantages. Most compositions require at least the bottom corners being locked in. I'm not sure how I would deal with that, while running off the entire canvas. Someday I will likely learn. I hope to soon move my studio into a larger space with much greater hight. Then I can set up for wall hangings. When planning a new studio, you either do it up right or be let down for your effort. So the investment is always much more than you imagined. That's the only thing holding me back now. I love your work. It has freedom written all over!
@@ltwig476 yeah, everyone’s different which is why I love seeing how other people work! It always is more effort then you imagine both in time and money, but if you’re enjoying the process then I think it’s worth it
