“You can’t give up, once you in it, you in it and you have to go all the way to the end because you commit yourself to such a level where there is no compromise you give everything you have, everything absolute everything and sometimes you find even more because it requires more if you want to be ahead if you want to win” -Ayrton Senna

All week I was simmering with discontent at my qualifying performances so far and this week I stepped up my game. Although I still qualified 4th the gap was down to 0.05 from pole. Definitely a bittersweet moment, I knew for the race I needed to make something happen if there was any hope of me making the podium for the entire GP and I was able to make a move that might be crucial for my overal...

Walked away from this race feeling a bit down, needed a win to stay in contention but things don't always go as planned. Bad qualifying put me P5 giving me a bit of work to do in the race. Nevertheless, I got a great start after angling my kart about 60 degrees to the grid box but unfortunately 4th was all I could muster in the end.

Second race of the Adult Challenge GP spring 2024 with good finishing position which keeps me in contention but I still need to take a step forward if I want to challenge for a podium finish by the end of the GP.

Raw footage of the final race from the constructors cup a few weeks ago. Our team (dream team) qualified 2nd for the final race. Team mates were 2nd and 5th on the grid in karts 22 and 2 respectively with myself starting 8th. With our main rivals started in 1st, 4th and 7th respectively. It was imperative we made our way up as quickly as possible so we could work together however our rivals (GT...

Today it seems my mind has finally put the pieces together. Imagine a math problem that you got correct but you didn’t completely understand how. That has been my racing. Now I can “show my working” in the proverbial sense and now I starting over the right way, actually understanding what I’m doing.
Gotta get lower in those hairpins and set him up. Roll your corners and less brake
In case there is confusion, P1 was way up the road and I just beat the guy in 4th by a few centimetres
Heck of a race!

What's your setup for recording? Do you use the rental cameras?
I have my own go pro mounted on the front of my helmet. Check my community page I have a picture there.

I got a 20.13 as PB, trying to get into the 19 but that last corner off the bridge is gnarly. I still dont know how the sauga manager got 18.8 😂
I’ve been experimenting with turning before you get back on the concrete, brake in a straight line, then rotate the kart. That manager is also very light so going up the hill and going through the twisty bits would be alot faster for him
Track is 1 second faster now. So go try to beat your PB :)
@@Capitan_77 how did it get faster?
@@jasonnguyen8498 as more people drove it and laid down rubber the grip improved.
Great vid , thankfully k1 gave us the invite for this occasion. Glad we all shared it together
Next time you go, lets race
Sure!
I wish i can afford those gloves lol gj bro
Yeah, they’re a bit pricey but very comfortable.
Can you make a video talking through everything you do because im stuck on a high 21.8 and i wanna get even lower. And i only lift on turn 2 hair pin and the last turn but im still losing time. How am i 2 seconds away from guy in first🤣
I’m still new to TH-cam so i have to figure out video editing and voice overs etc but I will.
i witnessed this race in real time 🙂
I find the kart hopping around a lot, particularly on the exit of the 2nd of the 2 consecutive hairpins. Is there any way to reduce this, or is it not as detrimental as i think?
Hopping out of the second hair pin isn’t a big deal. All I’ll say is open up your steering on exit, go close to the wall (Lewis Hamiltons picture)
@1:57, wow nice save
Nice laps
Nice video bro
Thanks, we have to do a league together!
How often are you on the brakes?
Never unless someone spun ahead. I just lift.
@@Capitan_77 wouldn't you get more rotation if you used the brakes more? or would it just slow you down?
nice laps dude! you're quick as hell. are you doing the challenge GP this feb?
Thanks man :) and no Im not doing the GP this February.
Vicious overtake at 2:23 bro
Thanks
Do you think you can teach me to get into the low 21's? I'm there once a week during the day.y best time in kart 8 is 21.6 average time of 21.9
Good news is you’re hitting 21s already. So you’re already ahead of 90% of people. If at any point you are using the brakes on your hot laps, stop. I only you the brakes to avoid hitting people or if I’m defending against another driver. Follow the racing line in the video and start lifting instead. You can scrub speed off way more predictably that way. Most of your time can be made in the hair pins, so slow that down to 0.25x speed and pay close attention to how wide I go before I turn, how close i get to the apex, how that puts my kart in the middle of the track on the exit of the first hair-pin setting me up perfectly for the second. Hope that helps. Also Kart 8 is the RB19 of karts so don’t be alarmed if you try it in a different kart and not as fast. But get the hair pins right you should shave 0.25s. I’ll try to make a tutorial video soon.
@@Capitan_77 thanks for replying! I will try you're suggestions
@Capitan_77 where do you let off for the first hairpin and when do you get back on the throttle? Also, are you full throttle for the second hairpin?
@@hellakray8514slow the video down to .25 speed coming up to the first hairpin. You will see a line in the concrete pretty much in line with the beam going up to the roof. Lift just before the line then turn in and as the kart is perpendicular to the wall with the f1 drivers start getting back on power and stay flat throughout the second hairpin. Sometimes a lightning quick lift while you’re turning for the second hairpin to get the kart to rotate. Get as close to the apex as you can.
@Capitan_77 thanks, gonna try that next time. For the last back corner, do you do a quick lift off before you turn in?
