Had my parents help me film todays video of the Christmas Song! This arrangement was a mix between Tommy Emmanuel influence and my own arrangement. Enjoy!
Suhr Classic T telecaster Clip

Really happy with the tone i've been getting. Heres a little clip of it. Signal flow is a Suhr Classic T - Xotic RC booster - Fender deluxe reverb with a celestion a type speaker. And a few plug ins on logic.

Elixir has more horse power, they also feel better.
Brother your attention to dynamic and overtones is wildly impressive and shines through in your playing. I'm not sure if views and exposure is something that matters to you but if you were to film and playthrough of one of these original pieces on a nice camera and edit it up nice, you would blow up on youtube. Not too many people have the ear that you do.
@@TugSpeedmann thank you bro 🙏
Are you using standard tuning in this video?
Jensen is fuller, bigger, and more open.
love fralins i found some pickups that i saw dean parks and allen hinds trying called Michael detenple and also comes in prewired configurations if anyone is looking for other good sources
Are these pickups overwound? If so, what percent did you have on this video?
Awesome playing.
Some of the best guitar playing and sound I’ve heard!
❤❤❤What should I learn to play in this style? What should I learn to play chords like this??
Useless
Musicians have to stand up for themselves at some point. I’ve been a gigging pro for 30+ years and have never played a 4 hour set with not breaks. C’mon guys. This is why musicians get so little respect. We don’t demand it.
Karaoke level vocal performance. She’s better than you. You would do well to feature her. Be the back up.
That's kinda what he's doing. He does a low harmony.
Fralins!
What is that chord progression I love it,the one in beginning
Great song !!!!
Elixir!
dude my girl might see this
Where could I learn how to play a chord progression like that????
I've played the Elixer Nanowebs for years and they are great strings in my opinion. I did just order a set of the D'Addario XT (.012-.053) strings to try on my Taylor. I've been reviewing a number of these comparison videos today and based on what I hear these are worth a try. You never know. I can also change them back. Thanks for the demo.
Why did you take off the volume, and tone knobs off of that beautiful Taylor 214ce? By the way, the elixirs are the clear winner here. No doubt.
@@MackDaddyVic I switched the expression system with the lr baggs anthem
Great song, guitar and vocals!
I thought LA was bad. Broadway is a friggin plantation. A 4 hour show with no breaks simply wouldn’t happen in my groups…but if it did, each player would need to make $1000+
that song could be on the radio tomorrow. had to give it another listen.nice voice and guitar work.Keep it going!!
@@markhopkins8674 very kind. Thank you
Came for the pickups, stayed for the playing. What a beautiful composition!
@davemaiorino9017 what cap value did you use for the tone pot?
If you live in a humid place, Elixer. They last so long! Not sure how long D'addario XT would last in those circumstances
I would refuse to do that.....
Gorgeous tone Dave. Question: is your Suhr the Classic T with urethane finish, or, the Classic T Antique with nitro finish? Color - Olympic White non-transparent? Thank you.
Ok! Just subscribed to your channel because you are a young musician who is almost at 1000 subscribers. Here is a link to a bunch of old musicians - local band on the West Coast of Canada with no aspirations of hitting it big -we're too old. LOL. This was a fundraiser we played for Childhood Cancer Research - it was magical when the entire audience started singing. Please subscribe to their channel! Your music is great!!! th-cam.com/video/oVcIHdunZ90/w-d-xo.html
Nashville sucks. Mediocre session guitarists that sell gear to pay bills. Check out Tory Slusher, the best guitarist in the world. Music doesn’t pay. Never has. Hendrix had to borrow a dollar from his driver to buy a hamburger in 1970.
If you make music useful to others it pays. Unfortunately you can be the best but if you don’t get out of your bedroom with it then it won’t pay anything
@@davemaiorino9017 you don't understand the music business. If you don't sign their contracts, you go nowhere. It's all rigged.
@@mattdelany6799 well I’ve been a working musician in Nashville for 5 years and most of my friends are in the industry. I’ve known plenty of people who got signed and it doesn’t take off their career. Most artists that sign end up not taking off and that’s just the way it is. A label isn’t an omnipotent entity that can make anything happen, it’s a business that takes risks on investing in artists/bands. Ultimately it comes down to what you can bring to the table
@@davemaiorino9017 blah, blah. You are waiting for something to happen. Watch, and listen to Tory Slusher, the best guitarist in the world. Playing out is a waste of time, and it doesn’t pay. Never has.
@@mattdelany6799 this is my last comment because I’m losing brain cells just talking to you. I make a pretty damn good living playing music and I know quite a few people that also do. But I’ll let you keep on using your time to critique others and listening to tory slusher
What kind of bar makes you play 4hours without a break
Awesome
I really like the nostalgic 90s/00s vibe of the guitar riff, and your production style is really smooth! Nice one 👏
Thank you!
The struggle for musicians is real
Somethin ab thise elixir strings man, idk how to explain it but when they are brand new they sound like a soothing deep voice
yo drop this rn
Just might have to!
You both sounded great!!!
Like my buddy Sonny Rock says "Don't take a break, you'll lose the crowd."
Really nice playing! Very smooth sound yet it sounds like they can get spanky without being harsh.
Four hours! My heart would be in it,..... but not my prostate.
You mean your bladder?
Came here from monica tinydesk 🤗
Ayy hello!
That’s a first
Very nice. Love the diminished stuff. Well done, brother
You cant even use the restroom?
Bands are the most annoying thing in Nashville.
The bands drive the Nashville economy
@@davemaiorino9017 I agree unfortunately
@@davemaiorino9017no they don’t. It’s just noise. Check out Tory Slusher.
I played boogie woogie blues bar and posted footage on my channel. I will be playing 6th and peabody tomorrow for industry showcase.
Could these same Suhr Classic T pickups be disconnected from the Silent Coil System to sound more single coil like….like you described the LFBS ? And, if these Suhr pickups were purchased by themselves, will they still be like “humbucker” as you described ?
Good question. Although I am not sure. I’m still using the Lindy fralins
Excellent demo Dave. Good choice on melody lines. IMO the LFs were more percussive, had more defined note character, and slightly less high end ?? Suhr PUs well balanced yes but tone a little muddier, not as defined. Your thoughts? And if LFBS highs are tamer, that’s my preference.
When did you guys go to not taking breaks? I lived in Clarksville for 3 years while stationed at FT Campbell and we used to come down at least twice a month. Every band we watched took breaks and one would walk around with the tip jar. Sucks that it changed. The whole feel of lower Broadway has changed since the end of the world happened.
Jensen for me ! imho
Well.....that's an easy choice lol
Nice 👍👍
