XRX DPA Sport (LCG) setup
มุมมอง 2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
To the new XRX owners who are struggling with LCG option setup. This is what works best for me, it might not be suitable for everyone but its a good starting point. HCG option setup is mentioned at the end of my previous video.

Thanks for gorgeous information! I'd like to ask what you prefere initial alignment?
Thanks, Start 0 caster all around with parallel Ackerman and max caster. If you get front wheel left then reduce caster till it's gone. If you have too much rear traction (meaning it's hard to initiate the drift on low speed because of high grip) then add rear camber and try again, slight adjustment at a time, too much rear camber= very low rear traction= difficultly in controlling you slides. If it's easy to initiate the slight but hard to control without spinning out the you have 3 adjustments to make: 1- Ackerman at full lock, parraral is my favorite, but you need a car that has a full steering lock (meaning both the front wheel can turn to almost 90 degrees while maintaining parallel Ackerman). Some cars can't do that, in that case you need a positive Ackerman (toe out) which at full lock translates to your leading wheel turn to 90 degrees but trailing wheel slightly less than that. 2- front camber, 0 degrees give you more front grip/traction, the more camber you add the more traction you lose. 3- gyro adjustment, don't go above 60%, (40%) is my sweet spot. All of this is subjective to you chassis, tires, surface and drifting skill, Keep tinkering till you get the feel of sliding on rails. Enjoy
Thank you for the awesome video man.
Excellent information! Great info and many tips I have picked up elsewhere finally got explained in a way that makes sense to an engineer. Thanks so much for making this video!
This is a Holy Grail of Rc drift. Hands down the best one on TH-cam .
Very long video but worth it. Very easy to understand.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video and priceless information. Thank you 😊
Salam ya Akhi. Habibi, I can’t thank you enough for this video. I’m brand new to drifting and your video helped me diagnose and fix my drifter set up in one night. You provided me concise information to really help me understand the concepts. Inshalla I get to connect with you outside TH-cam. Thanks again and please let me know if there is a way to connect with you. Thank you again.
Glad i could help brother. facebook.com/profile.php?id=100023223804144&mibextid=LQQJ4d
Where can i het the setup plate?
Aliexpress, alot of models/designs. Just get a cheap one
Do Kyosho bodies fit on modern drift art chassis?
Depending on the wheel base. You need to know the wheel base of you chassis (94mm, 98mm, 102mm or if it's adjustable), body wb needs to match chassis wb. Also you need to know how wide is the body, so you can get the appropriate wheel offset (just like real cars).
Beautiful video thanks for the time! Curious where you get the little tuning board and small tuning measuring tools? Can't wait to put this video into practice with my new chassis :)
Aliexpress, alot of defent designs and brands, just get a cheap one
Have to ask what is the red aluminum sheet you are using? What is the black one that you show in the beginning?
Love this video! So much good information in one place.
i really need help with getting my xrx sport and 2,0 to do this but im trying to figure out what Tx and RX i can buy and it actually work im looking at NB4 its just so expensive and i dont even think it comes with a really small receiver? and honestly i have already spent like a thousand on these little cars im not trying to spend 3 or 400 on Transmitter and Reciever ya know lol and where did you get that little red board ?
wow dude you have truly taught me alot!! where did you get all your parts for your xrx ?when you drift it holds so well it dont even look real best drifter i have ever saw out of all scales where can i get rotor and brake caliper things are them just like spacers ?/
Tune your car well, keep practicing and you’ll get there. Here is the link to the brake disks 👇 Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! As someone whos finally getting a first 1/24 chassis (Drift Art 3) and comes from a few years of semi competitive 1/10th RC drifting this video helped me describe a few adjustments with better detail to anyone I help in the future regarding tuning. The explanation on castor with the coin reference was amazingly told. This was an incredibly helpful video, thank you for the knowledge!
Thank you . This video greatly helped .
hi! can I translate this video and put on my chanel for our local hobby group?
Sure, go ahead👍
Where did you get the setup board
Aliexpress
This was easily one of the best rc drift car 101s on the internet. thank you so much for this!
Thank you very much for sharing your know how. It helped me a lot with tuning my k989.
Great video bro, thanks. It felt like I was taking a micro drift tuning class. Super easy to follow and very clear. The analogy’s you used help understand a lot too, great video man. Helped a noob out. Really starting to give up on this hobbies but this helped out a bunch. I’m what you call a “pandemic drifter” lol so this really helped
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! I get it!😅 thanks, professor! Subscribe!!
sick bro! crazy driving! thanks for all your vids bro! im still looking at getting my first car, i liked 1/10 scale initially but your vids have changed my mind! love all the in depth info too. killing it! genius
what is the chasis ur using when talking about camber? looks sick! ty for all the awesome information btw!!!
Great video brother amazing, I have a question I’m new to the hobby specially micro drifting, I own a mini-z AWD but this platform looks great, and I have a question! I type of bodies can you use or fit on that platform? Thank you
How do I get one of those
Great video! Now I believe again that I can make this work. Just started and was very disappointed with my GLD. I now recognize it's me, not the car. Still, can you give any advice which hopup parts I totally need to get? Thank you again!
What a great video! thank you for taking the time to detail all the steps to set up our cars. Ive had a Drz v1 for years (totally standard as cant find anywhere that sells the BMracing front end) could you advise how/where you purchased the bent/angled steering arms?
This video is excellent. Thanks man. 😁
Great content! What’s the purple car at the left (@ 40:40 min). It looks a little bigger than 1:28)
I am so impressed! All the points that you raised are 100% fact. Respect.
Where can I get different size gears? And what dimensions would I be looking for? Tia
Just amazing thanks for the help 🔥🔥🔥✊💯👌
Doing my XRX setting as you have, thanks for putting the setting out on video 🔥🔥🔥✊💯👌 and I love your videos very detailed, hope I can get mine drifting that amazing 🤩
At first I was like nah I'm not gonna watch a 40 minute review of another chassis but finally I see a knowledgeable person actually taking about things that really matter in a chassis from a technical angle. I was hoping you'd mention if the shocks are actual shock absorbers. Maybe you can comment on that. I do believe, however, that they are not, which is a pity, as the importance of REAL shock absorbers tends to get shockingly underrated in 1/28 scale. That said, to me the most impressive part are the disconnected front lower control arms. Yes! Finally a proper turning motion of the front wheels instead of the usual nonsense. That is something that I was wanting to modify on my AMZ drifter for a long time but didn't get around doing because of my heavily modified TRQ chassis that I was working on for a long time. Your video just boosted my motivation to make a video on that - something that I will follow up on when I'm finally done setting it up. With all of the above said, I feel like the only thing missing here apart from dampers are stabilizer bars, which would provide an extra layer of tuning. It is still impressive nevertheless. I wish I could find spare parts somewhere for one of my custom projects but I'll keep an eye out for that. Thanks for sharing and take care! ✌🏻
Nice video a lot of technical the best I see so far
Thanks for that I’ve got the XRX and I’m very new to the mini drift cars. You have help me out so much by watching this video✊👌👍
That’s the point of the video. Hit me up if you need any assistance 👍
Hello! Could you please share your DRZ setup?? Thanks
Unfortunately I gave away my drz long time ago and I don’t remember exactly how it was setup. However I used the same steps in this video to set it up. Just take your time, adjust one thing at a time and you’ll finally tune it the way you like.
@@mohamedfarah22 ow. I understand.. but no problem I thank you your reply! Regards
I needed 3 nights to watch the entire video in sections just so that I could digest it and remember what information was being conveyed. :) Even though I exclusively drift a mini-z ma-020, this video still gave me HUGE insight into understanding the subtleties and the tuning to adjust the vehicular behaviors as well as knowing how to rectify them. A great and informative video over all, clear and easy to understand!
If you was going to sell v1 or v2 TRC i will pay you double what you paid
Bro you are amazing 👏 , what would I have to do to a drz v2 to get it to drift just as good. Its blows my mind with how stable you can hold a slide and drifting almost in a straight line!! Like what!??? Amazing
I’ve never had drzv2 so I can’t give you an exact setup, but I made a video with the process I follow to get my cars tuned in. th-cam.com/video/l8A69UXmkjM/w-d-xo.html To be able to hold an angle you’ll need wide track width and parallel steering at full lock.
How do you spell that website you said that you can almost find anything you need
Man i want one but i cant find one is yours for sale lol
Very Nice Video Mohamed, helps a lot for beginner RC enthusiast. Please do a video on driftart2.5 summer edition.
Thanks man. Unfortunately I don’t own DA2.5 and if I had one I would’ve used the same steps in this video😅
Hi anyway you can help tunning TRC ?
subtitles in spanish. please
Hey What is the gla long link? Do you mean the part of GLA-S024? Thanks
Thank you!
Which chassis would you recommend? I have alot of prior rc experience BUT NOT in rc Drifting. I have driven mini-z AWD, but that is very different. I did buy a HGD1 chassis but found it to be quite a pain in setting up. Perhaps it's me and I need alot more experience in RWD Drifting. But if I am to look for a better chassis I would like to know which way to go. I have looked at the TS Racing, DRZ2 and the Drift-art 2.5. They appear to be good chassis, but want something I can grow with, but isn't too complicated while learning such that I would become bored with it and give up.
I gave up on drz. Art2 is highly praised, but I don’t like their marketing strategy. You’ll have to get a lot of upgrades which will eventually push the price over 500$. Trc2 is my favorite, but it’s complicated and over engineered, plus it’s out of stock and the company is out of business now, so even if you manage to get a used one…don’t. Xrx is beautiful and performs well without much upgrades, but it’s outdated as of now. The best stock/beginner friendly yet very capable chassis is DK. My Dkmk2 performed 100% without any upgrades and zero tuning. My advise: 1- get a modified k989 from mj rc shop. Or 2- wait for dkmk3 release. I’d go for the dk if I were you.
Hi, mind blowing slide! When you slide it completely side way, does your steering full lock with gentle throttle?
It’s a balance between throttle and steering input. Always try to initiate the slide with your throttle then control it with steering input so as not to spin out. It’s a feeling that you’ll develop after practicing….just like riding a bicycle. Never slide with your steering first. With that being said I rarely go full throttle.
I see. I was doing more steering control than throttle. Thank you for the tips.
