In terms of the spreadsheet, you can download a copy of Sinzar’s and add new units by entering their parameters if I’m not mistaken. I haven’t really looked at it myself because I’m no number guru, but I remember people on discord talking about that

@@oromallow3841 Depends what type of unit. NV units should be turned into fragments to get your first copy to a higher EX level. You'll most likely have quite a lot of questions since you haven't played the GL version before, so I suggest you use the Help thread on Discord when you have questions, people there will be able to help you figure things out =) I have made a guide video a couple months ago, but it was aimed more at GL players transitioning to JP, so already with knowledge of the game, but you can check it out on my channel if you want still, may give you some pointers if you don't know Japanese. Enjoy the game!

pretty much completes a water team and depending on damage could slot into a fire team if you missed out on white coat rain and only have esper rain, snovlinka, and raegan

You can find movesets on the Discord channel, in the wiki discussion channel. For bosses, rotations aren’t posted, but for DV, there’s a wiki page updated monthly with the last boss rotation.

Nope, there's no way around that Megaflare. It can't be nethecited, it can't be omnicovered. You just have to apply magic and general mitigation and pray your squishies make it through! ...or be lazy like me and reraise/guts =D

Good advice yes! I prefer using Lunafreya to trigger the magic mitigation, since she has mostly the same support Celes uses in the fight, this way, it frees an extra slot for another damage dealer. Lightning would then be on amp field duty, as Luna would do the imperil field.

True, but as you saw, only Lightning died there, and I hadn’t reapplied general mitigation with Celes. So bulking up Lightning a bit and using mitigations on Turn 4 should do the trick to survive the Megaflare.

It doesn’t stack. So if you have an elite soldier unit who’s also water and have Tidus in the party, the unit would take 200% LB damage from Lightning and 30% damage boost from Tidus.

That is correct, I just used him as an example because I didn’t remember what Lucio or Noctis were and I wanted to illustrate only the damage boost part :P

Yeah, I kinda forgot to recommend or not the units :P I personally think they’re good units, if you pull them together. Ashal is more utility, but Lightning brings the big damage to pull a thunder element team forward, with Orlando and Zack along. Elena fits well on that team too.

That's my goal, trying to show the game is accessible even to non JP speakers. Not everyone is on the Discord channel, or want to go ask there, and not everyone likes reading the wiki pages to figure out what units do, so I figure it's helpful to some at least =)

To be fair, since all NV+ units have their own 400 or 500% LB buff, that part is mostly irrelevant, unless you’re bringing them to a longer fight, for which it’s perfectly fine.

I’ve never done it, but yes you can. I think the way to do it is to transfer the account to another platform (AndApp to iOS for example) using the transfer code, and once you’ve transferred, return to the first platform and then the game will be blank again to start over.

@@starultros owe okay but is it safe you use emulator in JP version? In GL, i've been playing both in mobile and emulator for 8 years now and it has no issues regarding 3rd party app.

AndApp is their official app to play it on PC. So no worries there, and no use for an emulator. Just google FFBE AndApp and you’ll find it :)

Happy to be of assistance! There's a lot to learn about JP, I couldn't cover it all, even in an hour, but I hope this guide and the spreadsheet can help you enjoy it! 1 - There's pity for every unit nowadays and they're priced to 45k lapis (3 laps on the 5k banner). The problem is then you won't have extra shards for the unit. And if you go for the step-up banner that gives shards, you have no guarantee to get the unit, and it doesn't give tickets for the pity. So it's a gamble of whether to hope for multiple copies on the way to pity, or hoping for a copy of the unit during the step-up. 2 - There hasn't been a distinct premium unit since the start of the NV+ era. The units that didn't appear on all banners were during the 7* era, the Fest units. This has been since changed and they're just regular units now, but you don't really need them anymore, unless you want their STMR. 3 - There are a lot of reruns on JP unlike GL, so you'll be able to enjoy the new events every maintenance (every 10 days) and most times also have a rerun of a previous event to go and grind for the rewards you missed since you weren't playing at the time. Collab units aren't coming back often, what usually happens is they come to troll your pulls when they make a new batch of collab units for the same series (like Grahf when you were pulling for Fei or Maria for example). Also, there hasn't been any niche use equipment in the latest events that i can recall, so unlike Reflect Ring or Nethicite in the old days, you won't see yourself asking stuff like "what can I replace X equipment with?" at least =) Enjoy the beginning of your JP adventure and good luck on your pulls!

Yes, I kept wanting to mention him, but I wasn't sure if he was water or ice for his middle element for some reason. So fire and light are the golden children of the meta right now in terms of amp.

1 - Espers are the exact same between GL and JP. You can look for skills ending with キラー (Killer) or イ-タ- (Eater) for human. Asura uses ストライカ- (Striker) for her killers for races other than human. The galvanite is used in the same way, but more espers have overflow killers. They're always in the same corner spots, so easy to find and with my spreadsheet, you can identify which is which race =) 2 - You'll need esper ores to unlock 3* espers, a very welcome change in GL was removing this lock. You can get these either with the Chocobo Exploration, or buy them in the Trust Coin Shop, in the shop tab. There's 10 of each, and it's refreshed when they feel like it, but about every 3-4 months. 3 - Sadly, JP is way stingier when it comes to shards on banner. Besides the free ones you get on step 5 and 7 of the step ups, you can only get more by getting extra copies of the unit, which can include going for the pity on a separate banner running at the same time. It is then up to the weekly shard shop for 10 per week for 1000 lapis once the unit gets added to it. Otherwise, nowadays, events have shards for older units in the rewards. For example, the current FFXV event had shards for Chosen King's Best Friend Prompto, and also gave special select tickets which included shards for True King Noctis, Agrias, Esper of Destruction Rain and other older units. So they're cheaper for recent units when you pull, but more generous when it comes to giving out shards for units overall I'd say. Hope this helps!
