Having same exact problem here..

Mine too. Played for probably 10 hours with my brother searching the mines and can't find the hoist. Not having some kind of working map in game is terrible. They need an update that actually makes it functional. We both are on the verge of quiting the game...

I wish I could! But sadly because this game uses random world seeds and procedurally generated areas, the maps aren't 1:1 in most cases. Now and then you might get a match with someone, but it's very rare. D:

Aww. I think it can randomly spawn anywhere in that area. On one of my worlds, I know it was in a different place as well. Have you tunneled elsewhere in this region?

That's a very fair criticism. In this particular instance, I needed some insight from the audience, and a few lovely people provided it. If you're struggling with that particular challenge, the amazing people in the comments have provided. I hope the rest of the video was helpful!

Where are you looking for the hammer? In which forge? Because I believe it only shows in a specific forge.

@@davec1294 I've seen some people say that the hammer didn't show up in the Belegost Forge until they talked to Aric, the White Raven, at the Eastern Stairs.

I show the location on the map riiiight at the beginning of the video, but basically, you'll find it NW of Camp Igloo. I hope that helps! Oh, and it's worth knowing, too, that the park is split up into a few parts as well! So, you'll need to travel a bit to visit all of the locations.

I would say you should be good without going down there. You'll get a lot of black diamonds from orcs and chests that should cover most of your needs provided you're a little conservative with them!

It might be! Just to check a few things first, though, what's the current population of your village? I believe heating needs don't come until you have five people in your village. So, it may not be showing just because you don't have that need just yet. Secondly, double check that they have the tool/resources they need to make firewood. Finally, double check to see where they're storing the firewood. They'll need some sort of storage--either general or wood storage--to put the firewood in. If you have storage and it isn't showing up, then it might be because they're consuming it all in one day or because they're not making it in the first place.

@@survivalgameguide Never mind, 20 minutes after i posted my comment i decided to check the top roofs on the buildings. And there it was, hiding behind a chest. It even had a streak of light highlighting it so, i feel stupid now.

So true! This one was a nightmare for me.

Uh ohhh. That might be a goner, I'm afraid. The only thing I can suggest is to do a new dwarf with a new save file, get to this part, open the chest, then take its contents to your other save file, since your dwarves can transfer things on them between different "Worlds." A bit messy, but if you're partial to that dwarf and World, then this would be your best bet. That said, you're not missing too much in the chest. Some helpful resources, for sure, but you'll be able to get them on your own further down the game, anyway.
