There was a rumor regarding that the anime was going to have a different ending compared to the manga. Internationally, everyone who saw the ending of SNK weren’t happy about how it ended. But in Japan everyone were pleased with the ending and enjoyed it. It was a whole debate after the second part of season 4 was released. Then the rumor about and anime ending was brought up (mainly from fan theories about the series) people had mixed reactions about it. But as of today it was confirmed the rumor was indeed false and the ending of SNK will be following the same ending as the manga.
