    I'm loving my Peloton. I'm a former road biker and road with the Princeton Freewheelers for years and at 60 I'm at a point where I fear vehicles.

    Great advice in general but I definitely disagree with one aspect of the handlebar position. New riders and riders in general are actually better served with handlebars raised above the seat. It’s less aggressive and easier to maintain proper form as you go through your workout. I found this out the hard way. 🥴

      @DrVCatt 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well said and great point. A higher bar set is more slack for the riders upper body (neck, arms, upper back). Thank you for this perspective.

    this helps a lot because there is no explanation from peloton about the relation between handlebars and seat, and so I end up adjusting my seat too low to make handlebars feel better. Been wondering why my hips/hamstrings/shoulders/neck are so tight!

    Helppppp. Doing this exact same movement with ANY weight, my anterior delt fires but zero bicep interaction. IF I do feel my biceps, my grip/forearm fires and burns out before I get anything from my arms. Biceps are my genetic weakness. If I do curls, my calves grow

    What is the difference between this exercise and preacher curling? Just curious, thanks

    • @DrVCatt
      @DrVCatt 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This allows the hand to freely handle the DB and focus on the 3D control of the weight. Preached with an ez curl bar pins both hands to the bar. Also in a preacher your shoulder round which impinges the biceps tendon - I use this to avoid stress on the attachment of the long head which is the weakest attachment in the body.

    Seriously ! As someone with 2 hip arthroscopies, the whole reason for getting the bike was for the hips. Then the bike started giving me nasty neck tension even after 10 min rides. This bike was really easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

  • @Domme857
    @Domme857 ปีที่แล้ว

    We tackled assembling the bike as a family project. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The package is heavy, but I have 2 teen boys that were able to move it. The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

      Feet at 3/9 o’clock or horizontal to floor, front foot toe should be even with with the knee in a vertical line. Slide seat back or forth to get right position
