You have to sign up and create one here: google.com/business

I wouldn't add links in your services descriptions because they won't be clickable. I can't find anything where Google says that this breaks their rules, but it's against their rules to put links in your business description, so I'd assume the same applies here. So, focus on putting them on your product listings. But, you can also create Google Posts for your services and add links there. It's a great way to create more Google Posts and drive traffic to your website. You can even create a Google Post per service every month if you want to. Don't just repeat the same post over and over, change it a bit each time.

All keywords on your home page and the you should have individual pages for targeting single keywords or closely related keywords (like a specific service / location). On your home page, you should do things like; including all of your GBP categories (primary and secondary) in your page title, H1, H2, H3 etc and in the text of your page. If you align your page as closely as you can to the content on your GBP, it'll really help.

Hi @omarsameh5622. This happens quite a lot. As well as all the features in your Google Business Profile, Google also looks at your website when determining where you should rank in searches. This includes; keywords in the website page page linked from your Google business Profile, keywords in H1, H2 and H3 headings on your website, internal linking on your website and a whole range of other things. WhiteSpark compiled a list of 149 Google Business Profile Ranking factors and it includes factors both within your profile and on your website. The list can be found here: whitespark.ca/local-search-ranking-factors#pack-finder In response to your question about your homepage...Reverting it back should mean your rankings go back to where they were. The alternative you have is to further develop your new homepage and include everything that Google requires to get better rankings. This will take a bit of time, but done correctly, it could result in better rankings than you had with your original homepage.

Hi @StevenWongswfitness - If you hide/turn off your address, you'll still appear on Google Maps. Your rankings might take a bit of a hit to start with, but it usually recovers over time. If you're a service based business, then you shouldn't have your address showing. So, I'd always recommend you do things the correct way (in this case remove your street address) so you minimise your chances of getting a profile suspension. Once you have removed your address, just focus on all the other things that will help you to get more exposure (reviews, regularly adding photos, videos, Google Posts etc).

@@ignite-local Our business profile 3 years ago has a place, but now we provide services in homes and we have no place. If we hide the address after all this period of time, Google will not penalize us and suspend the business

@@omarsameh5622 Google won't suspend you, if you add accurate information. However, they might ask you to re-verify your profile. You might take a bit of a hit on your rankings. They may go down for a while....businesses with a physical address do often get an unfair advantage, when it comes to rankings. Just watch our videos 😀and focus on the things that'll help you to rank well and get more success from your profile.

Can you see the Q&A feature in your dashboard and are you able to add questions and answers?

I do not disagree with you. That's why I say at 2m 52s that I'm being purposely provocative and that rankings are very important. I just want to make it clear that there's a lot more to think about than just ranking. So many businesses that we work with get loads of profile views but then they fail badly at converting views into interactions because they don't take a holistic view of their profile.

@@ignite-local ranking being vanity makes the assumption a plumber is trying to rank for electrician. I know you tried to make it clear. But you were so strong in your initial wording it is easy to get confused when you switched up. I just assumed the title and the bulk of the video was the rule not the exception.

Yes it is. It all counts as interaction on your profile. They're minor signals, but Google takes them into account.

By custom category, do you mean customer business category? If so, this isn't possible. You can only choose business categories from Google's pre-defined list.

Interesting comment. What type of business do you think SHOULDN'T consistently check their analytics, keep their profile up to date, post new content, get more reviews and provide an excellent service?

yes to much, 2 reviews per week, 2 photos per week top, videos 1 a month, post weekly product should be done if possible in one sit sub service again in one sit and answer all the questions possible

Photos, videos, reviews and posts wouldn't be considered as spam. But, that is a lot of content. I'd recommend you post only the best content (nicest photo/best examples of your work), than just posting sheer quantity. Quality is always better than quality. Adding 1 piece of content per day would usually put you way ahead of your competitors. Where you might run into problems is with the products and services. This is relatively static information. Not many businesses would add 52 new products and services per year. If you want to incorporate products and services into your profile, do this instead...Encourage people to include the product and services they bought from you in the text of their reviews. This will help with rankings and search exposure for more keywords.

I've seen a few people report this on the Google Forum. But, it seems to be more of a US thing. If I come across a solution, I'll definitely make a video about it and let you know.

I like to thank you for the reply. I have watched other videos like yours on this and some of them thick the wheel is kinda BS and you need to keep updating your profile. At some point I think it might be true but I find it strange that when my wheel changed in March I wasn't getting as many calls and it's been green for ever even with a profile that wasn't complete. So I went and completed it and do my posting. I beginning to think it's a economy issue now. It would be nice if Google would just leave things alone. Thanks again.

If you've now only got one profile and it's verified, you should already be showing in searches. The easiest way to check is to go to your profile and see if you've got a blue tick next to your profile picture or a red icon. If it's a blue tick, you're verified and you will be showing in searches, you might just not be very visible. Watch all of our videos to see all the ways to make you more visible :) If it's a red icon, then Google will give you some actions to take to get properly verified and showing in searches again.

Is that adding emojis to the business name? That's a risky strategy as Google will probably consider it as SPAM if they detect it.
