On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, KIPP STRIVE Primary School announced a partnership with KaBoom! and Delta Air Lines to bring a playground to our school. Scholars were presented several clues and the last one was a special song selection from our Kindergarten scholars. Do you need to read music to do drumline

Please do not follow this tutorial for technique, this is closer to drumset jazz technique than marching traditional. The stick should be touching the outtermost joints on your fingers on the left hand, and we don't really pinch on the right hand like you do for drumset technique. It's more of a middle fulcrum, some even teach back fulcrum because it produces a better sound in certain ways. Also, the fingers on top should be way closer together on the left. I appreciate the effort to help teach others, I really do, but this just isn't useful to marching drummers.

Hey anyone watching this video should ignore what he has to say on left hand technique, there are great videos if you just search traditional grip on TH-cam and I highly recommend watching dca or dci videos

i don't know why your are teaching kids the wrong way to grip. like the form was almost there but your playing style with you left hand wasn't the best. you have to think about twisting a door knob, not a straight up and down motion like with your right.
