In this video, we will show you how to perform real-time motion capture in CTA5 using a webcam, video files, or VR devices.
You will need to install the plugins from this page in both iClone and CTA5. Additionally, make sure your iClone is already connected to Dollars MoCap products. If you are unsure how to do this, please refer to the instructions on this page.
Once the plugins are installed in iClone and CTA5, you will see them in the Plugins menu of both software.
Let's add a character in CTA5. In iClone, open the plugin from the Plugins menu.
First, click on Add Dummy to add a dummy character to the iClone scene.
Then, click Activate Link.
Back in CTA, open the plugin as well. In the Body section, activate iClone's Motion Link. You will see the status change to Standby in the upper right corner of iClone.
Since this character does not have hand bones, we don't need the Motion Link for hands.
Then, in the character list, add Motion Link to the body of the character.
Click Preview, then press space, and you can see the character in CTA is in TPose like the figure in iClone.
Open Dollars MoCap products and make sure iClone Streaming is activated.
Back in iClone, open the Dollars MoCap plugin.
Click Connect, then Start. You will see that through iClone, you can now perform real-time motion capture for the character in CTA.
You can also select a character with finger bones. We are using Dollars VIVA and Index controllers here.

Hello! I downloaded the rial version of Dollars Mono. I installed the plug in into I clone. It was very easy to install. The connection works as well and is on true.. I sees my character but unfortunately neither in Preview nor in record mode anything moves. Is there any mistake on my end?

It's obviously what for animation without markers no one did a slightest animation clean-up. Learning a bit of cleaning can easily give the same result.

@@dollarsmocap (EDIT) Thank you for your help. I tried out this instructions but it worked only once and 99% not. The strange thing is that the scelleton moves with all parts but only the mannequin not (in lower body) and also the data to iclone and unreal don't have lower body movements. [Solution_Update]: For anybody noticing a simmilar issue => Delete the json settings File in your folder. Sometimes the system seems to refresh :)

I finally got my arms and face moving, at the same time. Thanks to you! Its so exciting. I did the body capture in Dollars MoCap, and the face using AccuFace/MotionLIVE. I can't figure out if there is a way to edit the body capture in iClone 8 with the recording from Dollars. Is there a way to edit the Dollar MoCap in clone 8?

Hi, no, you don't need that. VRM are always rigged and have skin weight
one looks like it does not support the character sliding, and after that also could no longer track the actress hands in the moved position. Otherwise it is pretty awesome for the price-performance ratio

It's a great software... But please some times hands and legs are too much shaky in the mocap. Please fix those in the upcoming versions.

I think it would be amazing if it was possible to add Mocopi support to Dollars MONO in addition to the camera support. That way having sensors and visual reference could maybe result in a more accurate motion capture take
