On a trip to the Philippines to see the beautiful scenery, I saw that Filipino's were very happy, helpful, caring & accepting people. The islands support & accept all religions and seem to respect each other and live in peace. Did you know that in 1934, President Manuel Quezon allowed Jews escaping Nazi persecution sanctuary in the Philippines before Filipinos and Jews alike experienced the brunt of the Second World War. They saved over 1200 lives by this great kindness!!!

We finally had our Balakbayan delivered from LBC after 4 1/2 months. I can’t believe it took so long. Actually, I can’t believe it took so long. I’ve heard horror stories of it taking up to a year so I guess I should consider myself lucky. It had all kinds of things for gifts and Items I brought to use in our daily lives.
