Had the car in storage for a few years. Had to replace the fuel pump and tank fuel line to get her running again. Actually started it the day before this video was taken for the first time in years.

Just another ride home from work. Kinda long & a lot of traffic. Quick speed burst around 8:15 to 8:40 or so.

@@425.Geezy_ You are living in the absolute 💯 best state for riding.. Lane sharing takes skills and patience. If a rider doesn't think cognitively, he/she can get hurt even on a scooter. Watch again how your Dad knew that getting by that box truck was tight.. he waited with maturity and got by him safely. Never put yourself in a "pinch zone". Better to make it home and set the kickstand than to ride like you think you are Valentino and never make it home. Take your training, buy ALL your gear (ATGATT) before you throw a leg. Be smart, ride patient, never ride mad. No one owes you anything. 600 is a great bike to start with. You can always buy better at a later time in life. 😉 It will happen. Take my word. Take your time. Ride safe!

Gotta love that San Francisco rush hour traffic. I used to ride in from the east bay and delta with that Bay Bridge and Highway 24 and 680 traffic. Good thing I had the bike otherwise and hour and half for more sitting in the car! Grew up in Daly City and now live in Germany.

Exactely! This is why I kept mine. The sound of a 996 is 100% + to the Testastrettas. It's rough, it's hard and it is what Ducati is about.

No Doubt! I have the same bike, without knowing what mods have been done to his its hard to say, but its so damn fast and you can almost feel through your screen that the bike is happier getting "Fed" more fuel/air/and fire! It just wants to Go baby Go! Hard as hell to do in bumper to bumper traffic! Much respect to this driver!

met too, got a 916 st4, mechanics pull up to me and say.. "time for a valve adjustment".. to which you respond.. if it isn't making those noises then, something is wrong.. then try to explain desmo to the un initiated..unusual machine to own.. fun to ride..

I miss my 1995 916, had a 955 kit and termi exhaust. No better sound.

Do you have a 120/60/17 tire up front? Your speedometer seems off. My 748 came with a 120/60 and the speedo was off by 20mph. 996's and 998's came with 120/70/17 and they run the same speedo & cable as the 748. Slapped a set of Q3's on my bike with a 70 up front and the speedo is dead on.
