Do yourself a favor and get an oil cooler from N75 and a thermostat from Mishimoto that keeps coolant temps at 150F idle and below 200 WOT if this is a dedicated track car.

Brakes are excellent out of the box. Very good stopping performance especially for a single piston setup. Things just start getting too hot after hard lapping, as is expected

@@HaydenMiami Yeah it felt like brake fade due to semi boiled brake fluid. The ATE Typ200 can't handle the heat from these cars apparently

I think that's exactly what happened!

Never had any trouble! I can consistently have it octane learned after 10 minutes or so of driving at a constant speed above 70mph. I usually put gas on my way to the track and try to calculate so that the tank will be as full as possible and octane learned by the time I get to the track. A full tank normally lasts me four 15 minute sessions, but it's cutting it close. So far I haven't had to refuel while on track, but if I were to do it, I'd probably add just a gallon or two at a time so that the ECU doesn't reset and have to relearn again. Of course this can all be avoided with an ECU tune ;)

@@xdr197 thanks for the reply. So you’re able to consistently avoid a reset with small refills? I’ve heard some people suggest that, but then others say it still resets with only 2 or 3 gallons added. The car is so close to perfect and I’d go right out and buy one, but the more I read about this the more it seems like a logistical nightmare 😖 Could get a tune but the warranty is appealing, even if it’s already jeopardized by track use.

@@BeanyB0b Honestly I've never done the couple gallons method to avoid ECU relearn. I've only read and heard of others doing it and having success, while some don't. I have also heard that the ECU can complete octane learning at the track after just a few laps of giving it the beans, but not many people have reported the same results. You're right that this is almost the perfect car, but I wouldn't let this small annoyance be the determining factor. The car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it, and it just does things at the track it's not supposed to be doing for a FWD car at this price range.

Fitment is perfect. No rubbing at all even when driving aggressively over curbs. You can go with either 18x9 or 9.5 but you will need camber bolts for either, and not go over 40 profile on the tires. I chose 9.5 cause of the greater contact patch on the tires

Hi, thanks for checking out the video! Usually autocross events here are also as you describe, with cones pointing the direction of the course. This event in the video though is special in the sense that it's based on a gokart track, and there aren't many like it! Cheers and enjoy your car

Yes! Ask instructors to ride with you and they'll let you know where you can improve and provide you tips. Letting veterans of autocross also drive your car will give you an idea of what it can do and gives you a benchmark if you want to have that.

No rubbing at all and I've been racing hard on these. Poke is minimal with enough camber.

no rubbing with the amount of camber I have! If you want to be even safer, you can go with a 35 profile tire
