Pro Changing Lipo Connectors XT60 TO EC5 #lipobattery
Changing connectors on your battery doesn't have to be difficult! This video gives you a quick soldering tutorial for how to change connectors on your Gens ace or Tattu battery. Several things to take into consideration when soldering:
1. Heat transfer is very important. Using a soldering iron that is too small of a wattage or too small of a tip will result in a cold solder joint, which should be avoided. Heating the connector as quickly and briefly as possible to prevent melting the plastic housing is advised.
2. Solder should be 'flowed' into the connection. If you have a cold solder joint, there will be blobs of solder and the solder will not create a smooth connection to the wire. Excess solder can be trimmed with flush-cut pliers.
3. Excess flux should be removed with isopropyl rubbing alcohol of at least 70% concentration after the solder has cooled. Only rosin based electrical flux should be used. Plumbing or acid based flux should never be used.

Once again, nice to see the LiPo solution for field charging, but much better to use LiIon or LFP :)
there are pros and cons to both. we want to mainly show the safe procedure to apply in this DIY. a lot users are not aware of the setting the input voltage. thanks for the feedback.
@@GensaceRC Sure, we also try to teach customers on D300 low voltage input settings :) . Speaking of the field pack energy we both know all the cons and pros, but for general user LFP is good long year investment and our customers prove that :) But I agree, if you already have big LiPo packs, then this is the surely good solution to use them. We have all that info on our page for free. :)
